The 1550 is sounding mighty fine. Glad you got the planting done!

Thanks Pete. We bought that tractor new in 1967 and it’s still going strong today!

I finished corn yesterday and started beans but got rained out today. Wish I was done like you 😁

Thanks Andy. I had a window and worked my ass off to get done while I had it. I hope everyone else gets done too. It's been a challenging spring to say the least.

Charlie, that has to be a very good feeling to get all your planning completed for the season. Happy birthday to your mother 🎉. Thanks Michael

Thanks Michael. Yeah, it sure did (and does) feel good. My corn is up and at the 4 leaf stage. Beans are doing well, too. Many guys around here are still planting, because we had a lot of wet weather once I finished that day. I was blessed.

Glad your crops are in and looking good. I planted corn may 20th an soybeans the 21st here in Southern Illinois. It always amazes me how many rocks people have in different parts of the country. I have very few. Happy birthday to your mother. You could send your monitor to At express, they're very good at repairing anything electronic.

Hey Caleb. I have a few fields with some rocks, but not a major problem. Monitor has been sent out to Dickey-John, repaired, and returned. Was surprised at how quickly they got it done and back to me. I will make note of AT Express for the future.

That 1550 sounds great. I'm happy I found a farming channel from my half of PA.

I know that for some reason the camera likes to play Bo and Luke Duke ... Flattenin the hills. That must be a pretty good climb.

It's definitely a steep hill. I usually plant in 4th gear with the 1550, but had to drop into 4th hydrapower for that hi.. to keep chugging along.

Good you’re finished. Looks dry and dusty - hopefully you will get some rain to help get the seed going… 👍

Well, it has been a wet April (over 8 inches of rain) and had dried up enough by April 29 that I could plant beans and by May 2 and 3 that i could get corn planted. Since that time, we've had a nice mix of rain and some nice weather - rather warm for this time of year. As the old farmers used to say - if the weather makes you feel uncomfortable (warm and humid) the corn loves it! Crops are all up and doing very well, Involved in spraying everything now. Will do updates.

Most guys round here are just getting ground fitted, not hardly any planted yet, but I’m much farther north. I’ve got 6.25 acres hopefully going back into grass, never got anything done with it from last year being so wet. 1550 sounds pretty awesome!

Thanks Adam - you say farther north - what state/area are you from?

Doesn’t show up well on the video. Our area in western PA is rolling with mountains, but our farm is really rather level, except for this and one other field.

Sorry Charlie I ment Stoneboro PA. July 25-28th with the Mercer county Antique power club. Oliver is the featured tractor and I will be there for the whole show. Stop bye if you have time

Went to your Buckeye Oliver Collector website and found the flyer for the event at Stoneboro. That's only about 2 hours from me. I'll sure try to make it up. Is the physical address for the fairgrounds 2381 Mercer Rd, Stoneboro, PA 16153?
@matthewdavis40818 ай бұрын
@pagrainfarmer yes that is the correct address. I will be around from Thursday mid day threw Sunday afternoon. I am on the board for the buckeye oliver club. You find me around our display for the entire show. Looking forward to being in Pennsylvania beautiful country over your way

Its worse when the monitor won't stop buzzing. I think i jave a bad sensor. The tester I got says the sensor is good and its dropping seed but still saying the row isn't planting. Next time I'm going switch seed tube between 2 rows and see if it changes row to be sure its a sensor or if it is the momitor.
