Hi Roger, that CNC did take a while to build, but it's huge and accurate. Once you get that bed flattened out you'll be able to build nearly any mold size you choose to, super! Have a great week, cheers 👍💪✌

Curious why you didn't use math to calibrate the axis? You should know the encoder resolution and ballscrew pitch. The only calibration needed after that is inaccuracy in the ballscrews.

I couldn’t remember how I set the dip switches on the stepper motor drivers, I didn’t remember how many micro steps there were per revolution. Using the Mach3 software to calibrate it was super easy also.
