You can change drink to drinking or drank but that does not make it finite. Subject change avunnathinu anusarichu form marunnundo ennnu anu nokkendathu. Ivide subject enthu thanne ayaalum to drink-nu change illallo. I want to drink water. He wants to drink water. She wanted to drink water. They want to drink water. The form of want changes when there is a change in the subject or tense. To drink remains the same. So, it is non-finite.

Verb-nte first form ellam infinitive anu. Examples: sing, dance, cry, sleep, work, write, break etc. When it is used with to, it is called to infinitive.
