I cry for those young Russian conscripts. They are poor and filled with propaganda and promises of free toilet seats they can carry from Finland 🇫🇮 to Krasnoyarsk to their moms and girlfriends. They are also victims. Stalin sent thousands of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 brave boys to die in Finland. Naturally the war eventually ends when the invader loses enough vehicles and gets enough vounded to their hospitals and enough moms revolt in streets. It seems we have to knock out quite a many tanks before that. Knocking out tanks is fun on the other hand ;)

As a German i've always said that Finnlad/Sweden is a force to not F with. Swedish military tech is astonishing and both armys are so effective and capable in such harsh conditions. @@TheNismo777 Oh yeah i remembered Finland fought against the soviet union in WW2 which the soviet union was so pissed about their great sniper which it is quite amazing for a country that wasn't really much powerful before then but they fought a great battle against soviet that did last long.

Of course they eventually just ran their whole war machine over us and we negotiated peace terms which were hard on Finland. But we were a costly mistake for the USSR. They lost 10 soldiers for every Finn they killed, they lost thousands of vehicles and other equipment while the Finns had very little equipment. But the thing that we damaged the most, was their reputation. It was very important for the USSR to be intimidating in front of Europe. They wanted Europe to be scared. But they took such a beating from a bunch of farmers who had no support from any superpower. Their tanks were defeated by petrol in glass bottles, their armies was hunted down like game. We were to the USSR a bit like Vietnam was to the US, except we eventually ran out of all supplies because we weren't financially or militarily supported by any powerful western state.

The Army is and have been a total success story in Finland! Their objective for keeping piece has been fullfilled and they will propably succeed keeping piece for a long time! Finland (with swedes) have made it a too much of a hassle to conquer this land that has no immediate strategic military value. It would cost too much, too many would die, not so much is to be gained, Russia would face the biggest PR-carastfofe if attacks Finland, Many many Euroopan brothers (countries) would fight with us or join us in a way that hurts Russia if they attacks AND there will NO be any guarantees of swift and effective victory (the kind that Russia and Putin are always seeking). Love to you my Russian brothers and sisters! You can see that we are not impressed bu your behavior so we have prepared to fight and sink you down if have to! But we still hate you not, lets all hope we can be Friends in the future too!

Some nice clips from Rovajärvi. Now NATO has training area this side of pond (outside Nevada and Canada) where 155mm artillery can fire at full charge, and tank battalions can stretch their legs. Rovajärvi is our biggest training area, but we do have many more, all of which are vast on European scale.

When Finland joins, we bring (just on maritime sphere) instant and permanent blocking of russian access to Baltic Sea. We will mine the narrows of Gulf of Finland to gills with best influence mines in world (have prepared for this for 80 years) and guard the minefields with missile corvettes and shore based ASM. Just bought the latest Gabriel ASMs. They fit to Harpoon canister, but are 45 years newer design. Specs are largely secret, but 200km+ and land attack capability.

@Kimmo J Russians can try to keep precence in Baltic Sea facing current NATO + plus Royal Swedish Navy + Finnish Navy blocking their way to home. Best scenario is russians operating actively/agressively till war is declared, and get trapped into open Baltic Sea, without route home. Kaliningrad is an huge mousetrap for ships.

Ofcourse sea flank is just side theatre. Finns and Poles are only 2 medium sizes and up countries in mainland Europe with weapons, men, and ATTITUDE to fight russian ground army whatever comes. The chicken shit, untrustworthy Germans are already left out of arms purchases by us Finns. We buy our Leopard 2 ammo from Israel. Germans could at any moment, after Kreml growls, piss on their trousers and double cross allies.

Finns have bought large quantities of weapons in last years. Never from Germany. Lets see how replacement of Apilas AT weapon goes. We need huge number of them. Have bought tens of thousands Apilas through 2 decades. Coming deal will be equal. Germans have clearly the best weapon, Rheinmetall Matador 110mm. It is assured that if we have slightest reason to doubt German loyalty, we buy the second best weapon. Or just skip whole weapon class and go for large additional purchase of NLAW. Finland can atleast always trust Britain not to block arms supply to us during war.

If Finlands joins NATO, there is no reason to lay mines, unless "strange" marinetraffic is expected. Then it can be discussed. Russia violates Finnish airspace like once a week and we don't down aircrafts, or make thiyr homebase barren land. But interesting idea... Finnish arms deals in last 12 months. - 64 F-35s - HIMARS rockets at max over 500 million Euros (not yet finished deal) - 28 more K9 self propelled 155mm guns - 1000 to 2000 small, tactical drones for army - JSOW bunker buster glide bombs and latest Sidewinders from USA - night vision equipment to keep Senop Ltd busy for years. - Border Guard not yet decided on aircraft type, but goes for jet ac. So Airbus offerings are out. - 361 mEUR worth of Stinger manpads - over 200 mEUR worth of Spike AT and coast defence missiles from Israel (3 variants) Vast majority are resupplies, we have same weapons already. In coming 6 months Finns will decide between 2 competing Israeli companies which will become our high tier SAM system. Finns do have good relations with Israel. We buy even 120mm tank ammo from them. Israelis are more trustworthy than chickens living in Germany. Finns are in good books with Israelis. Some Finnish judish religion following soldiers accomplished so much in battle that Germans wanted to give them Iron Crosses. They declined. The heavy calibre disposable AT rocket deal will come in few years. It will be massive, decades long contract. Germans have best weapon (largest calibre Matador) but they are totally untrustworthy as supplier. Notice, not a one dime of massive Finnish contracts went to Germany. WE ARE THE REFERENCE client in world. We dont buy German weapons anymore. Even before this period: Finns bought upcoming Corvettes from domestic supplier, and we did chose Rafaels latest antiship mussile for our navy.

@Jiri S Yeah, there is very, very few armies in NATO trained, equipped, and mentally conditioned to fight all of russia in land combat. Polish. And Finns. Thats about it. Friends and allies are valuable, but its your own army meeting them from first minute.

Not quite... But this small, hard fighting nation caused cccp very heavy casualties. And more importantly, they are free spirits and won't accept any attempt of oppression from anyone. They'll rather die than become slaves for any nation.
