I so much cared for somebody, not like I needed them, but like I so much felt close to them, and felt a deep warmth when I was around them - but I never told them. That's it, I just wished them well and respected more than anything, they meant the world to me - to find out that that person actually would have been glad if failed and had some prejudices about me that I couldn't see nor understand at the time. That broke me to pieces - three years passed after we saw each other the last time and they still don't know what happened inside me - and huge things happened. I know that what I've written sounds strange taken alone, without the whole story, but it's like this song is written about it. Maybe I also feel the song deeply cause I was born just a day later than Finneas, so maybe we're somehow alike emotionally, sometimes it feels I hear myself. I think this year I will tell that person what they meant for me - but surely without emotion, cause after things get ugly, you feel nothing anymore. Then get strong af

Oh, dear. I lost my friend bc of the disease (we knew each other since 8 yo, she passed away at 23, 5 years ago) and I lost another friend the way it's spoken in this song - betrayal and etc. And you know what? After these years I feel like I didn't really lose anyone. Like, the girl who betrayed me never was my friend for real and this girl who is not with me right now - she is still my friend. We have our memories, I still have all her lights she gave me so I don't feel like she left me or whatever. It's like long distance relationship and we will meet again sooner or later.
