This is the type of video that should be shown on motor trend. I don't feel like I'm being sold something I'm just witnessing a guy and his love for his ride.

This is the kind of car build videos I really enjoy watching. I'm a ''fan'' you could call it, I watch you for entertainment, chill out after work and forget about shit for 20 minutes. But this is just a good informative video, I atleast learn alot from watching your videos. Fab work, what can be done, different ways to do stuff. There is no stress, no trying to be extremly funny or anything like that, it's just as if I sat in the garage with you and you explain things to me. You talk about the history of the car, even though you've already made one, but you take the time to tell it again because there is no rush with these videos, and thats what I love about them. I my self have a VW Caddy mk1 minitruck you could call it I'm just doing some stuff to to make myself happy with it. Keep posting video's like this! and please tell more minitruck stories, or car stories. Make a weekly video of a carstory you've had. But only when you have the time to chill out, have a beer and talk to a random camera in your garage. Have fun and stay dirty!

When I saw LT4 in the title, I thought this was gonna be the mid 90's LT4. I hate the GM reused the name, but damn, they did give it to a badass engine so I may have to let it slide. This is gonna be awesome, good luck with the build.

Great video Mike,that's a killer engine. Been working on a crazy new idea and wonder what you think. Basically it is always tricky to get the steering column in and clear on a hot rod because of suspension,chassis and engine mods. The headers always seem to be fighting with the steering for space. The new Infinity has drive by wire power steering and that got me thinking, what if you could fit this to a hot rod project? An ECU with programmable steering feel and force could control the steering rack by wire and so leave lots of space for the engine and headers?. No steering column to stab you in the chest in a crash and a weight saving. We have been flying by wire for years and has not been a problem. Might be the start of a next new big thing?

I think I'd mod the firewall before I'd move the engine forward for handling reasons, so you can make better use of that dry sump. But more importantly, I'd carpet those basement stairs, unless of course that's where you watch your porn...
@tomjackson10458 жыл бұрын
Mat Helm It just gives it epic turn in grip. It could be a body dropped, airbagged, LT, 6 speed drift truck. :')
@MatHelm8 жыл бұрын
Tom Jackson You could use a 200hp 4 banger if all you wanted to do is simulate speed (drifting)...
@jeepsterdaddy378 жыл бұрын
Mat Helm, The motor needs moved forward to be in the factory position because the mounting points on the LT4 are further back on the block. that being said, there won't be any more wait forward than before plus the LT4 is way lighter. Also said he doesn't want to redo the already new firewall. I do agree that it would be more beneficial to the handling to redo the firewall though.
@MatHelm8 жыл бұрын
Jeepsterdaddy 37 Are you under the impression that mounting points on a block are somehow scientifically balanced? And not the result of convince, and/or the car they were to fit in...
@jeepsterdaddy378 жыл бұрын
No. My explanation was shity. I was trying to say, do to the mounting point on the new engine, the mounts need moved forward and that after they're moved, the LT4 will sit in the same place as the stock or previous engine. So he's really not effecting the handling especially sense the LT4 is so much lighter. I also was agreeing because if he did redo the firewall and set the engine further back, he'd have better weight distribution. Sorry if I'm not explaining it correctly. I'm tired and I just suck at explaining things through writing.
