Hello sweetheart. Your shawl is fabulous, beautiful colours. I used to do cross stitch and embroidery but my eyes were not good enough. I treated myself to a day light with a magnifier so, as I gave away my embroidery things, I bought a pack with the hoop cloth and pattern. And then inevitability i now have Shingles across my head and over my eye so I cannot see much of anything. Luckily I have two simple knit and crocheted scarves that i slowly can do. Back to hospital Tuesday to see if it has improved. Supposed to go on holiday on Friday. Who knows???? This has not been a good year. But I think it has been a bit strange for many people. One good thing, I am now booked in for my replacement hip joint in January. Hopefully it will not be cancelled. Your 'same circus different clowns' completely describes our government that we have had seems like forever. All our in town shops are closing because everyone who can orders from the Internet. That is not good on a social level as it makes people stay home and be isolated. And jobs lost cannot always be found in online companies. We too are a mess, whatever the government and journalists (I don't believe either) try to tell us. I may be 73 but luckily my brain still works well. So I guess like you with one thing and another I am going to enjoy being a Hobbit for mosy of this Winter. Glad I have plenty of all kinds of yarn to keep me busy when my eye and face heal. Love you all. So glad you all seem better. Hope your Mum is ok? Will she come for Christmas to be with you? I hope so❤. Keep fighting and do the best you can. Love again from Lynne 😊❤🤗

I love the shawl. Pink is the best and it is a very retro look. The fringe is perfect. My mother taught me to crochet when I was 9, 53 years ago. I finished a project and started 3. My husband lost his job on my birthday, October 5th, so we have been trying to keep our heads up. I think my starting was I have yarn that was in search of a pattern. Stay warm.

Your shawl is wonderful Jana, it will be just perfect for spring time. I have a cake of red unspun which looks to be a similar one. I made some felted mittens last year with one cake. They do not fit brilliantly and so I am thinking of felting a bit more and even attaching a knitted ribbing to the cuff to create a better hold on my hands.

Your geogradient is magnificent. I didn't participate this year because I'm still not finished with last year's MKAL.... I love your Ikea project bag. I have the same one! I'm also burning one of my salt candles inspired by you. Thank you. My advice on the slits in the dress is that I think you do need them. But they don't have to be as long as the pattern calls for. I think maybe three times the length of the bottom ribbing would be good! That way you can walk comfortably but not be showing too much leg. I love the color and I think it will be beautiful whichever way you finish it!
