Superb colour match for the surrounding. As long as there is even a little foliage in front it is near invisible. When standing or kneeling it appears darker than surrounds, I would recommend keeping near tree trunks or deep shadow while so. Sure if you stood motionless in deep shadow most would not see you.

Excellent video Brent, way to go! I have to say having worn several cammoflage combat uniforms in both of my careers with the U.S. Army and Estonian Defense Forces Army. What, I found is the design of the, Estonian BDU I was issued in 1995, which was based off of the Swedish and Finnish Zipper pocket Combat uniforms, are overall the Best, most versatile cuts, designs that I have ever worn of any Tactical combat cammoflage uniform. In my Estonian Zipper Pocket Combat tactical uniform, I could fit a Glock 17 pistol entirely in the upper shirt pockets. Same in the,Swedish version, I do not know about the Finnish version. Now having used/ tested this design. What is your feelings of the Finnish design Tactical Combat Uniform?

For a non 3D pattern it appears, (or in this case doesn't) to be extremely effective. Somehow I forgot that you hadn't tested this one yet. Really hard to get, mostly because of its cost, but sure worth it. Very effective in the lush green setting... Varusteleka.com are the only guys I know that have this. This pattern lost its trademark (so to speak) protection in September 2016 (I think...) and has been more widely available commercially since. Russian copies are made by supposedly decent local companies, but they don't come out much cheaper than Varusteleka's supply and they say that theirs is the best. Either made in Russia or Estonia in Varusteleka's case. Got money? Choose.

In Finland, and in my native Denmark, the Finnish camouflage is much more effective than the silly Multicam. In the four months of summer here in Greenland, Multicam is better, as it is in Afghanistan, but as we hear up to fight Russians in The Baltic States and Poland, getting the Finnish or even going back to our old M84 would be better.
@mattgent8599
@mattgent8599 2 жыл бұрын
You said "going back to our old m84". Is it just your wording, or is Denmark not using m84 as standard issue anymore? I don't read much on the Danish military, but I've always loved the m84 pattern. I've searched for a reliable source of m84 clothing but never had any luck.

There seems less in your pattern but I'm still not convinced. I think it's probably better than CadPat in pine forests which are often darker than the current environment. I am not the biggest fan of many of the smaller modern patterns anyway, I think they're over hyped but are improving recently.

I’d love to see you do the Slocam pattern or ConCamo. They’re not very common though.

Either I'm getting better at spotting you or this needs a darker environment [overcast or a thicker canopy?] Didn't seem as effective as some of the other patterns you've demo'd for us, but still an upper tier choice.

The camo was made specifically for Finnish forests. Hard to do comparison based on quick video alone, but I'd say the greens here are darker, especially with spruces and pine trees.

Looked ok. But, we are seeing mostly the shaded side of you. Could use shots from different directions relative to the sun/shadows. I'm wanting to paint my SAKO rifle stock in M05.

Anyone have a suggested camo pattern for the Midwest (Missouri)? Thanks & One Shepherd seems amazing.

Depends on your environment. If your in a heavily forested area go with something like Woodland or Flecktarn. If you live in an area with less forest and more urban you can get away with something lighter in color. Maybe look into A-TACS camouflage and see if they make something that works for you.

Tiger stripe and lizard stripe work good in those swampish enviroments. So does brushstroke.

It's almost as if it was a predecessor to CADPAT/Marpat. Though CADPAT was built from the ground up, it seems all too similar to this pattern.

Maybe it works better in Finland than it does in NoTX, but it looks too closed to me. You may as well have been wearing a black jumpsuit. M62 was much more concealing to my eye in your previous video.
