I'm Italian and this video is nice. Actually I didn't expected Finns to be so friendly toward Italy, also they are very deep thinking persons when they talk.

It is a pretty nice video. Let me say something concerning the two languages. Obviously Finnish and Italian have nothing to do, not common roots at all. But, as italian, when walking on the streets in a Finnish enviroment, the sound I hear of the people speaking around looks very familiar to me (I can't say "it's italian" but it's very similar). As well as all the Finnish people I met, speaking some italian, had an almost perfect pronunciation.

One thing, which was not mentioned in these interviews, was the Italian music. The Italian opera is naturally very famous, but also the light Italian music is very popular in Finland. Much more popular than Swedish, German, French, Polish or Spanish songs. The Italian boost began here in the middle of fifties and it has continued up to now. Practically all those songs, which have been succefull in Italy, have been translated to Finnish and they have sold here usually well. One writer told, that those Italian speaking Finns, which he had met, pronounced Italian well. This is quite natural, because Italian and Finnish are both heavily vowel-dominated languages. For an average Italian Finnish pronouncing would be very easy, the only obstacle would be the complicated Finnish grammar.

I really like Finnish because I'm very similar at them and in Italy I can't live well for many reasons. I value privacy and in Italy many people don't care your private space but in Finland people care ! I love quite environment and hate loud speak and Italy is a terrible place for this, in Finland I can have this easily !! I love innovation and technology and Italy live in the past without innovation and italian cities look like middle age but in Finland innovation is great and value technology better then Italy ! I love nature and air/water quality, in Italy air and ground pollution is a big problem and water have not so good quality to drink !! So I have so much similarities with Finnish mentality and maybe none with Italian mentality ! But I yet live in Italy until I'll finish my studies, maybe I'll move before because it is so hard for me live in Italy unlikely !! I'll visit Finland from south to north

No offence, but wow Finish people are really awkward, try putting some more feeling into your interviews/docs if you wanna be somehow successful with your channel, getting more subscribers! It comes across as completely boring and dull because it doesn't have any emotion into it or maybe even effort .. I don't like to stereotype, but apparently the stereotype seems to be right when it comes to Nordic/Scandinavian people .. 😐
@Kallixia
@Kallixia 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, Bruno. The video was made by school kids before they travelled to Pescara, Italy. The aim was and is not to get more subscribers but to encourage them to work in front of a video camera. As far as stereotypes are concerned, you're probably right. :/
