Gosh, I just love how Fiona is so damn honest about her lyric writing. Her rawness and her ability to express such words correlates with how I feel about writing. It makes me feel a lot less alone. I think "Largo" and "Werewolf" from The Idler Wheel... are by far my favourite songs. It is also nice to see Fiona collaborating with Andrew Bird. What a fantastic concoction of flare and chemistry! Thank you for sharing! :)

Largo? What song is that?

It's a bonus track from "The Idler Wheel..." I had only discovered it this year and it can purchased from iTunes. It was a huge surprise considering I had purchased "Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than: Deluxe Edition by Fiona Apple" a few years ago. I couldn't seem to find the track on KZbin either before I purchased it, except for covers, so I guess if you wanna taste-test, there are covers out there, but it's definitely worth purchasing.

The contrast between her soulful and in your emotions voice with the confidence and intelligence in her lyrics against how charmingly awkward she becomes in what is just a light conversation about her song is so gawtdayum endearing! I would be a fumbling mess of human flesh if she spoke words to me. She makes me want to be devilishly charming in hopes she finds me interesting and intriguing in order to get close enough to make her angry or hurt at me to eviscerate my world in a fed up flurry of words. I bet she could pick ya apart and leave ya bare. I know how unstable I am to look forward to such a thing.

I like Andrew Bird, seen him live, etc. But Fiona belongs to me (this is in a jokey way, not like that psycho who tried to explode Bjork thing) So I'm totally fighting him like Blaine, Jonathan, and esp Blake Mills (He gets to tour with her and he dates a HAIM- he had it coming). PTA is to film, what Fiona is to music to me, so he gets a pass- and they seem to be friends and stuff still.
