I have that same BPS at my apartment building, but we have an old IRC-3 system with a mix of Wheelock 7002s, Integrities, 90s EST horn strobes/ and several others

Research the Wheelock Safepath, Siemens XLSV, Fire-Lite ECC, or other fire alarm voice systems. The manufacturer clearly states what it’s designed for.

It depends on the panel and its associated UL listings. My University library uses its Simplex system as a paging system.

EST Guide there is no intercom system believe it or not. They use the fire alarm system for paging. It’s not intended for that.

My district uses LOTS of Simplex and Notifier, but my school has an EST IO500 system, amazingly.

I'm now in a private school that's located in a plaza. The main system is a Notifier NFS-320C, but we also have a drill system, which has Potter H-1224R horns.
