I've been here. The fire alarm control panel used here is a Honeywell XLS1000 (rebranded EST3).

Wonder why Siemens and Honeywell rebranded EST Equipment. Honeywell has notifier that’s a huge competitor to EST. And Siemens has its own line of panels which also compete with EST.

As for Siemens, Landis & Gyr (since acquired and renamed Siemens Building Technologies) did rebrand EST (then called FAST) systems. This was probably before Landis & Gyr's Cerberus division bought Pyrotronics. Landis & Gyr (and then Siemens) continued to rebrand EST systems for compatibility and support reasons only. Same goes for Honeywell.

@@jonathanstarling1082 Not sure on the types of alarms they have at T2 at ORD, but MSP's T1 looks very similar to ORD T2 inside and out. Both are from the 60s/70s and share a lot of architectural traits and layout/aesthetic similarities.

I know a Hospital in Illinois in which has a Notifier /Honeywell NFS-320 With Voice Evac Programming that also used this tone, after this tone played, a code 3 chime played with the “Code Red”, Message. Didn’t know this was EST 3 tho
