In trench crusade lore it isn't really possible though, It looks like the demon lords can mark souls similar to the way it works with chaos in W40k (which effectively gives the power in question first dibs on the soul thats marked when the mortal dies.) Since the heretic fronliners have to go through so much to get into the ranks, they are pretty much boxed in to hells coffers spiritually, even if the Trench Crusade version of God wanted to forgive a soul from their ranks. It seems that in this setting, the whole sacrifice of jesus on the cross can't work as a get out of hell thing anymore (in irl christian canon its supposed to be a guarenteed way of getting into heaven according to christian teaching.)

This was soooooo fucking (pardon) good. I love trench crusade, but I also love your style of videos, the voice, the music. I'm a huge lutein fan and this scratches that same itch. Oh man, that was a ridiculously good short story. I don't know if they had a professional author right that or I don't know maybe one of the developers is a professional author. But my goodness lol they definitely kicked the animal lover in me right in the nuts until the very end. And brother I think you have quite a good reading voice. I even think it kind of fits the setting. You know kind of gritty. Anyway keep up the good work.

Honesty, I think he would if that person was truly sorry in their heart. I think an element of true repentance means that you exist with your guilt for a long time after, and true guilt is tough to take. Joseph obviously believes in a more vengeful God. Lol

I really had some hopes for that Kickstarter, but I have to pass, unfortunately... The lack of multipart miniatures for Trench Crusade totally extinguished all my hype for that game. Single posed miniatures for a skirmish game with a lot of layout options in 2025 is not the quality I expect, and those prices on top of that... The Red Brigade was something interesting, but it looks like it is not much better. Only one multipart set, and with only 2 x 6 miniatures with just enough weapons for a whopping 80$ + VAT (25% for me, so another 20$) + shipping... more than 100$ for 12 miniatures... Digital is 62,5$ + printing... And people are complaining about GW's prices... I wish Westfalia the best of luck and a successful campaign, but I, myself, can't justify such a price for such quality...

Just some notes or feedback, i liked the story but it seems totally rificulous to think Joseph(i.e. a veteran with any smount of service under his belt) wouldnt take a few moments to at least check the action of the machine gun and drop a bore snake through it, i get their faith in god is supposed to be what motivates them and such but he had the time. Seems he'd have the time to go through the ammo and clean off the few rounds he found too. This is a veteran of trench warfare, finding a weapon in s pile of trash that hes about to put all his hopes and dreams into, and you dont think hes going to check it?

As he lies dying he knows he made mistakes, man. I tend not to write stories about perfect heroes. People make mistakes, their training fails them, fatigue and tiredness and pain costs them. People are, in the end, beautifully human. I really do appreciate the critique, but it's something I thought about and purposefully didn't add because I am tired of perfect heroes doing perfect things, all the time. He didn't put his faith in god that the gun would magically work, he just fucked up because he was under pressure, worrying about his squad and the mission at large. Not everyone is Tim Kennedy and his bag of 50 grenades. lol
