Hey everyone! To those of you who can't find the package: Unity has moved the "Show Preview Packages". You can now find it under Edit -> Project Settings -> Package Manager -> Enable Preview Packages. If you check that box, you should see preview packages in the Package Manager! :-) Stay awesome!

For anyone who is having a problem with the smoke being green tinted here is how to fix it: - First go to the project window a create a diffusion profile; - Then select the object with the volume component (scene settings) and add an override, select the "diffusion profile override"; - Then add the diffusion profile you created to the diffusion profile list in the diffusion profile override; - And for last select the lit quad output in the smoke effect and in the inspector set the diffusion profile asset to the diffusion profile you created. The tint is controlled by the "Transimission tint" property in the diffusion profile.
@chillicorgo5 жыл бұрын
I can't find the scene setting, not to mention that I dont understand step two at all. What more exactly is it I'm suppose to select and where do I find this override?
@lengors16745 жыл бұрын
@@chillicorgo Do you have the HDRP package installed and well configured? Did you create an object that contains a volume component (this object is by the default called scene settings)? If you have no idea what I'm talking about watch this tutorial by brackeys: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2PKnJaagchqbdU . If you don't want to watch the entire tutorial you can jump to around 6:35.

@lengors16745 жыл бұрын
@@AidinZolghadr Sorry for the late response, did u manage to fix it? U shouldn't be getting the whole scene black if u correctly followed the steps above. In reality I'm failing to see how u manage to make that happen, the only possibility that comes to mind is that u made the tint black in the diffusion profile and applied the profile to every asset in the scene.

I'd love to see a tutorial on water/liquid simulation with particles. I'm not sure if vfx graph can do that or not, though.
@JellieBean1236 жыл бұрын
I doubt that it can do liquid simulation since that would require the particles to interact with the environment (colliders) and if I'm not mistaking that would mean that the particles would be calculated by the cpu. And that's kinda pretty bad for the performance of your game.
@Desoxi906 жыл бұрын
It's certainly is possible but very advanced and difficult to do. On top of that, the vfx graph is still in a alpha state. Still, there is a team in the vfx graph forums which is developing a liquid simulation and its free to see and use per github repo.

Hello everyone! There are quite a few comments re: green smoke using the alpha material. This is because the scene/material has not been assigned a diffusion profile. This can be added to the Post Process Volume as an override or to the material itself. Hope that helps

This is pretty great. But, much like most of Unitys' new stuff it seems, it lacks consistency. I had that Some things are blocks that go inside specific sections, while some are blocks that connect by wires, while some are properties of a block edited in the inspector, and others are properties of a section edited in the inspector. It seems really powerful, but it seems like it's going to take a very long time to learn where each property that you might want to edit should go. At least we have channels like Brackeys around to help us learn this stuff.
