1:32 - Chris, your memory was correct. The point aboit not scoring primary in the final battle round is part of the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion 1.4 - page 3

Two of the armies I play going at it on your channel, I'm looking forward to this one. Have to cheer for the demons first, but hoping for a good game for both.

1:15 - you can only make a consolidation move if doing so would bring you into engagement range of the closest enemy unit or, failing that, would bring you within 3 inches of an objective. If you cannot move into either engagement range of the closest enemy unit or within 3" of an objective marker marker, your unit does not move. This is different from 8th edition where ypu could always make the 3" move while avoiding combat. Core rulebook, page 35.

And in fairness to Tom, he asked Chris what the benefit of consolidation for the blood crushers was and Chris told him there wasn't any, which was not entirely true as there was a scoring reason to make the move. However, after allowing the move, Chris should still have gotten to plunk Juggernauts with his big hammer. Lots of rules, I know, mistakes happen. Hope the explanation of the rule helps for next time.

Thank you for the clarification, it felt quite janky that whole bit of play. Good to learn as always!

I feel like the combi Lieutenant is probably wasted in only this detachment since you are capable of rerolling the wounds for most of your weapons since Vulkan is there and all you primarily bring are torrent or melta, one thing I’d suggest trying out is the Lieutenant joining Adrax in the bladeguard with the champion of humanity enhancement, being able to ignore any and all modifiers for a melee based unit capable of rerolling their wound rolls thanks to Adrax, and they don’t need oath thanks to their reroll 1’s, and lethals from the Lieutenant and you can use the crucible of battle to essentially have a unit independently being nearly as effective as if you had two oaths, giving you more flexibility to put oath elsewhere

Do we believe the rumours that Demons won't get their own codex?
@PhilDocIan11 күн бұрын
I've been playing demons as my main army since they got their first codex in 5th. I doubt we will be getting a codex. I don't like it, and I am hoping there will be a way to play pure demons in each Chaos God faction codex (like in AoS as I understand it).

@PhilDocIan It does suck that they are splitting out the Demons especially as they aren't making huge unbalanced waves competitively! Seeing multiple greater demons on the field is a sight to behold!! It is fun playing pure factions in AoS but they need a better way to either combine things together or bolster some demonic factions in 40k

I thought you cant charge when you do an action like containment
@WeirdWolfGames11 күн бұрын
Containment completes in the shooting phase, so you can then charge. It depends when the action completes.
@MrNasher11310 күн бұрын
@@WeirdWolfGamesin the pariah nexus companion it specifically states that if a unit starts to perform an action it cannot shoot or charge, by that wording it doesn’t matter when the action completes

@MrNasher113 pants, we might have been getting this wrong for a long time then! Thanks for the shout out

@weirdwolfgames no worries, with so many rules flying about it’s hard to keep track in the middle of a game, great battle report still though 👌🏻 keep it up
