Heartbreaking news Daniel regarding the fire at Bryant Park holiday market. I read an article online, that the fire destroyed the booths of multiple businesses, which is terribly upsetting. I really do feel sorry for the vendors.

Oh my gosh that fire could have been so much worse. Thank goodness for a quick response. Poor vendors - even those unaffected by the fire, the smell of smoke will be all over the clothing items. So sad. Thank you Sifat for showing this to us. 2 Fires in one holiday season is too much.

I live on Long Island in New York. I have gone to Bryant Park on numerous occasions. What a devastating thing to happen to this beautiful area and the owners of the kiosk. They are saying a kitchen fire started it. It’s just terrible, but it could have been so much worse.

It is a sad situation for the vendors and I hope it wasn’t a deliberate act. I live in a quiet town in the western U.S. and I can’t imagine living in such a crowded place as New York City. Your vlogs definitely show a different side of life in America. Thank you for filming.

Wow...that's terrible. I was there when they were assembling it. Back in early November. When I visited the Library. There were cables and electric lines everywhere under the platforms. At least they stopped it before the whole area went up.

Terrible it happens but it is probably an electrical fault or gas, oversights is what causes so many of these at key sites. Someone knows what started it even if they don't know about it they will realise what started it. I just hope it isn't insurance or arson, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a recalled part or item being used to power or heat the stall and an oversight in removing the component caused it. I'm glad to see that it was made under control so soon for the ammount of woodland they must have acted rapidly to control it. The only possitive is that they must have made most of the trade by now however lost trade on new years eve, though I wonder if some without the fire would never have heard of this market and will do so now and come to visit and buy from other vendors. Who knows if that would happen but if it does maybe those vendors might help fellow vendors if they notice an uptake over the usual trade after Christmas.
