I Agree with Nick's comment around 44:30. The people that said the emperor was a harmless puppet are the same people that spent the next 50 years after the fact trying to bury all of the crimes that Japan committed while claming that WW2 was America's fault.
@essexclass8168Ай бұрын
They're pretty drunk but I think what Stakuyi was arguing was that the Emperoe was powerful but did not have agency expected from a European Emperor. Which he's right, if anything the Princes are to blame for Japan's foreign policy taking such a turn. The Emperor of still ultimately complicit, although to his defense, it's likely any active resistance to going to war could've plunged Japan into civil war, since an assassin's war had already been ongoing since at least the 1920s over exactly this. Also it's America's fault only if you consider not screwing China and Russia over extremely badly in 1905 and China again in 1937 as cardinal sins.

I randomly came across The Fat Electrician on KZbin one day and proceeded to watch every single video. Now I hang for every upload 😅 I swear I've learnt more from his channel since watching than I have throughout my life, haha. Thanks to Nick, I found the UnsubscribePodcast and wait for every upload. Y'all make my day every time 😂 Not even mad at the digs on Aus 😂 Valid haha

The whole 'pissing in the towel warmer' thing around the 65:00 mark might be a sign of a sleep walking disorder. When I was young, age 4 through 8 or so, I would 'wake up' in the middle of the night and urinate in anything vaguely circular that was roughly the same distance from my bed as the toilet was, usually trash cans and mop buckets. My parents saw it happening a few times and yelled to wake me up, and it was so shocking to just be teleported to some unexpected place, embarrassingly standing over a trash can with my pajamas pulled down. I grew out of it eventually but it happened probably a half dozen times over a few year period.

😂 He said he was drunk!

Fairly certain it has more to do with the consumption of alcohol since it only happens when he literally gets piss drunk

@@sonnyechols5140 'more to do with' isn't the same as 'that can't be true'. Plenty of external factors can trigger seemingly unrelated underlying disorders. Sleepwalking isn't exactly a common side effect of alcohol consumption, in the same way that seizures aren't exactly a common side effect of seeing a strobing light, but we know one has the capacity to trigger the other.

This is the funniest episode you guys have produced so far. I've been crying with laughter for nearly the entire thing. I'm so glad you guys were able to connect and get together for an episode. Please do it again in the future.

I love when the Guest of the Guest/Host gets on, from Allan, Gabby, the Parents, it is always the most priceless, wholesome, or funny segment!

This collab is so long time coming, I Actually learned about Nick from listening to a collab with Stakuyi on Spotify, and fell down the rabbit hole, and have listened to every episode from both of them since

Best part about the Anne Frank reference is when I was in highschool, all my friends & I would regularly hang out & party in the attic of our very native German friend’s house lovingly referred to as “Annie’s Attic”… still a mythical place among some circles.

I love how Eli said, "Brandon had to serve his military." Like Brandon Herrera has his very own right-winged militia or something. They secretly double salute him as well. Also, I just joined Pepperbox and watched this yesterday.
