I get to change the ac compressor hose assembly. Mine took a rock to it. Hoping I can get the hoses off without needing to completely remove the compressor. Thanks for the video.

Nice video. Do you one for a 98-02 F bird bird T Top drain / drain tube … how to clean and location

1 thought... You should purge that charge line. As it now has air in the line that you are forcing into the system.
@doziervk52872 жыл бұрын
Explain how you do that, genuinely curious don’t wanna fuck up my car
@302KingCobra2 жыл бұрын
If you look closely at the gauge setup he has. There is a little schrader valve in the middle. His is covered by a red cap. Before opening the valves at the end of the lines connected to the car, open the gauges, open the bottle, then purge that valve with a pen or something until Freon comes out. Now the lines are free of air and you can open the low (blue) side to charge the system. 👍

Thank you so much for this video. I just did this job and found that the top two compressor bolts are easy to deal with from the top. But you have to remove the two coolant hoses that connect to the water pump.

didnt have to remove coolant hose just used a stubby ratchet no problem

Do you have a link for the compressor you purchased
@anthonyspadaro77316 жыл бұрын
Any chance of getting a link from the Ebay seller for viewers to also buy a compressor?

Why didn't you replace the accumulator? It's a sealed system and once its exposed to atmosphere its no longer any good.. your ac system will not work properly now
@1992danib6 жыл бұрын
Trey Proctor the accumulator isn’t ruined lol, just because it’s been exposed to air, there is this thing you do called vacuuming the system which removes air and moisture before you add refrigerant. Do a little more research before adding in your stupid comments. If your suggestion was true you would have to replace every single part in the ac system and that wouldn’t do you any good without vacuuming the system either. Do you think the accumulator comes sealed and do you think you can install it while still sealed? I think not.
@charlesnavarrette18355 жыл бұрын
@@1992danib try is right when every you change a compressor for warrenty allways change accumulator and orifice tube since compressor is new ans why call him stupid new they are vac sealed when you pull covers off you will hear the thud sound so quickly install it system will be colder and work way better if you change vac test t for 5 to 10 min then charge if no leak s
@bradleyrowell64095 жыл бұрын
You only have to change the condenser and dryer if the compressor came apart internaly, if your replacing it for a leak its not necessary to change condenser and dryer and orpheus tube
@bradleyrowell64095 жыл бұрын
The dryer wont be damaged because it was exposed to air. You just need to pull a 10 min vacuum
@michaeldose20414 жыл бұрын
Trey P The people who make accumulators agree with you. They act as filters if the system gets full of metal then definitely but most of the time refrigerant just leaks out. Water boils at room temp when under vacuum so it is evacuated too. The only other issue is oil.
