Still and box alarms are structure fires A 2-11 alarm is basically when a structure fire elevates too much and needs more personel. A EMS Plan 1 is used when a lot of people are injuried or down.

Are so little Firehouses usual in USA? In Germany are the Firestations very big. The Central Main Fire Station here in Mülheim on the Ruhr for example has sixty-four Firetrucks.

Someone needs to call OSHEA about their 1990 Trucks and Engines because obviously the city and union don't care about their safety. Just the chiefs who get new rides every 2 years.
@ex-missourifireexplorerrob827420 күн бұрын
OSHA, just as the NFPA, can only make suggestions. The NFPA is the agency that oversees fire apparatus rotation. Seat belts & airbags are not technically enforceable by OSHA as long as the apparatus have them; as long as they have those & brakes, the rigs are cleared to go. Budgeting covers rigs & Chief cars. I believe the rigs seen are spare status.
@theemurman120 күн бұрын
@@ex-missourifireexplorerrob8274 good info. Its easy to tell in Chicago because of the magnets they put over the numbers on the doors that I suggested back in 2007 when i was CFD. HAHA. True story. But i didn't know that information. Its crazy how old these things are here. 3 biggest city in the country with a violent side.
@ex-missourifireexplorerrob827420 күн бұрын
@@theemurman1 Ha ha ha; yeah, at least the magnets help identify the rigs. My friend works for a rural department about four counties away from my town; their rig takes going down hill, to pop the clutch, & not stopping. I was able to actually speak with a retired Chicago Firefighter, during a non-serious car accident, on my Hospital's property, when working there as Security. I am your State's neighbor, as my KZbin handle shows. We are certainly competing ourselves for title of most violent State. I read an article on fire apparatus, which explained there really is no governing body; the NFPA recommends a 15 year rotation ; 7 years for tires. My town's department rotates front line rigs every 10, & was behind a little for a while. But beyond that, the NFPA is not an authority to enforce, which, when an Explorer, & reading what they wrote, by how they wrote it, & by how people spoke, I thought they were. A huge fan of Chicago Fire, I am very interested in its history, happening to come across the videos with Joker Stands, getting curious years ago, beginning to read.
