Thank you. When my dad was in his seventies and I was in my forties, he told me that often when we fixate on character flaws of others it is due to our blindness to that very flaw in ourselves. Thank you to Dr. Schwartz for the meditation and for sharing knowledge of parts work. And to You Tube, thank you and how is it this has so few views? Useful stuff here. 👍

Wow this is SO PERFECT for the triggers I was woken up to again this morning!! Was so helpful to learn who all was being effected/protected and why, inside me (I didn't realize there was so much trauma surrounding similar situations in the past)! Definitely looking forward to doing this regularly in such times... and starting to practice the ideas in real life as well🤞🏻💞🙏🏻 Thanks you SO very much!!!!!!

Thank you so much! I’m a counselor in training and studying IFS at my site. This was a great way to practice it myself first

Very nice meditation, thank you. As I don’t have KZbin plus I got 2 ads that made me jump and pull me out a bit in the middle. Still, i am grateful i had this opportunity.

Ad-MAXXING a meditation. BASED.

If the channel mods see this, there is an ad that runs in the middle of this meditation. Probably best to deactivate that as it disrupts the flow of the experience.

YT seems to be stepping up its ad activity. Just as a heads-up: if you are in the YT Partner Program, you can apparently turn off ads for specific videos (according to Google's page on this, I'm not in the program so I can't verify). Might be a good idea for guided meditations like this one, since ads are VERY disruptive in them.

Thank you. Just what I need at this moment. I dreamed about a person and woke upset. This helps a lot to bring me to my feelings and meet up with a crowd of parts. ❤️

I shared this link in an fb group. Someone responded that this was controlling and awful. The response triggered so many parts. How dare she attack the architect of the model. Turns out that was a part too. Great stuff IFS but it does ninja the mind occasionally

I don't get why we have to look at someone who triggers us. My problem is my own relationship with parts of myself.

I'm not a therapist but my understanding is that these people represent some aspect of ourselves.

Hey Marie-Eve. If you find you are more triggered with yourself or a self-view that you have, you could alternatively imagine that part of you being in that box.
@mevebelanger2 жыл бұрын
@@baldwinpsychotherapy I'll try that. 🙌

I put my critic in the box and wow it was profound to see how afraid my parts were of that part. It went beautifully

Therapy and practice! And from the perspective of someone who does this work both as a client and as a therapist, if you can find a good IFS therapist, you can definitely help your parts release burdens and return to their preferred state. It's beautiful work.
