With Inigo, we have a pretty clear idea: toys with his opponents, skills equal to Xander (if not superiors since Inigo doesn't have a sword like Siegfried)... With Owain, you never know what is his actual power and what the roleplay he makes up.

I immediately paired off Odin with Elise in my first run for a blonde Ophelia, but I'm heavily regretting it because wow this support was pretty nice. Their Awakening support was just okay to me (as much as the S support was cute for Severa to have Owain's name engraved on her sword), but this tops, especially the lines at 7:20-7:24 despite being a tell not show situation. Regardless, this gesture just makes sense to me given the presumably established relationship in Awakening, and I'm all here for it. It's so fucking cute, goddammit. Heck, I'm also glad this support was apparently tweaked in the localization. JP Odin never knew it was Selena that did the spell (nor did she try to tell him), and there was no "propose seriously" moment. You did good with this one, Treehouse.

I also just love how they're written in this game. They feel like they've matured (well i mean except Odin, who somehow got even MORE eccentric) while still remaining true to themselves. Like, Severa was a pretty aggressive bitch but Selena seems like she's calmed down a bit. Heck, she even just sort of blew right past Odin's weirdness in the C support. And her B support with Laslow is probably one of my favorites of all time. I'm really impressed with IS's handling of their return here. Now if only Lucina could have been involved in the story... X3

+Jinx Jade they didn't die, after the battle with Grima Severa, Inigo and Owain were transported into the world of Fates in order to fulfill a mission, who sent them there or what is their mission is still unclear to me as I'm currently on Chapter 19 of Conquest, however I read there will be a DLC explaining why are they there. Also as another fun fact Chrom seems to imply Hoshido and Nohr are ancient kingdoms by calling them Mythical, so I may have some suspicions about this game being either the story of how Grima was born, cus I saw a picture of a guy dressed as Robin tasking Severa, Owain and Inigo with something OR the story of the origin of Manaketes, considering Corrin and Kana are the only ones who can become dragons AND Azura seems to know a lot about it too

Yo I know this is Late as hell, but the world of fates is hundreds of not thousands of years in the past in the world of awakening, since if you play the "before awakening" dlc, chrom straight up refers to both nohr and hoshido as mythical kingdoms. As for how they got there, that's covered in the "hidden truths" dlc. But the short version is that the soul fragment of Anankos (the bbeg of this game) who happens to be the last semblance of good in the dragon shows up, and asks for them to help him, a d then they just dive head first into things without leaving so much as a note to the other shepherds or children of awakening.

I know this is incredibly late, but the 6 awakening characters that made it in fates actually only did so due to a vote with the 3 most popular adults and child characters and adult characters, all on seperate sides. Hence why discount Gaius, Cordelia, and Tharja all appear as child characters in this game

+Gamzee Makara (Umbertasitc) *Spoilers* In the Hidden Truths DLC, Owain revealed that he's been practicing magic somewhat, and he realized he actually has a talent for it. So he requests that when he's given new powers to blend into the new world, that they'll be magical (Severa even quips that it makes sense given that he's Lissa's kid). It makes even more sense in Awakening because his magic stat is higher than his strength stat.
