The difference between you of the light and you of the dark is so funny to me. Both have a sense of melancholy but wherein you of the light is more “How could you do this to us?” You of the dark is more “We’re going to beat your ass.”

I actually have the opposite feelings! To my ears, “Dark” sounds much more desperate in its faster tempo. Like you can feel the pain of the Nohr siblings have regarding your betrayal. It’s almost sad, like “why did it have to come to this?” “Light,” meanwhile, despite its higher pitch just sounds ANGRY! Like the Hoshidan siblings are feeling a righteous fury about your betrayal. You are, after all, essentially joining the villainous side in Conquest, so it makes sense to me that “Light” would have more bite to it. All in all, though, both pieces of music are awesome, and this is just my silly train of thought regarding them :)

To me this will forever be the theme of when I was playing Lunatic and used Setsuna to just bait Camilla over the river with her good Res + Illusory Yumi (+10 Res) so everyone else can gang up on her next turn, but Setsuna hits two 29%s and gets a 7% crit on the second hit

You of the Light vs You of the Dark, part II: This theme has an even greater sense of urgency than You of the Light, while also sounding like something of a duel theme? It gives off the feeling of not only confidence in your victory, but also gives me vibes of, "I absolutely cannot mess up" Really great theme. Score: 8.5/10 Winner: You of the Dark. I've explained my point of view. You of the Light is fantastic, but You of the Dark outclasses it utterly. This is in my top 10 list for sure.

@@L0ngsword but for real though I think they should have made Lyn the last new fire emblem character for smash. With an event replacing her as a trophy with byleth to promote three houses and appease both the big corporations and the OG western fans of fire emblem in the process. (If you didn’t know) She was the very first character you ever see in the franchise (available outside of Japan at the time) and had a very nice tutorial storyline for new players that has elements that tie into the main story of the game.
