A little bit late but: happy 20th Anniversary to Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones. It was my third Fire Emblem, but also the one that made me most interested in the rest of the saga. Hope it could be enjoyed for more people in the years to come.

My favorite version of the classic Fire Emblem main theme and one of my favorite games in the series period. I wish that Nintendo could've added both Ephraim & Erica in Smash Bros Ultimate, Sacred Stones deserves more love. Hoping it will get a remastered re-release on Nintendo Online ASAP🤞🤞

@@emerylsg I could go on and on, but the basic problem is that the story FE7 wants to tell does not match the mechanics at all. The story written to be more what you expect from a jRPG: a hero and his small band of merry companions go on a quest to save the world. Among other things, this is a really bad thing to do in a game structured so that major story events happen between structured pauses in the gameplay. This kinda-sorta works for other Fire Emblem games, since quite a lot does happen offscreen in the plot, and we just assume that the story summarizes the important events because, hey, it's a war story. But in FE7's case, this gets REALLY silly when it's time for a new map but not all that much has objectively happened in terms of story progression, such as, say, the Kishuna arc. I cannot tell you how funny it is when we have a chapter like, say, Whereabouts Unknown and they cut to the world map with a sweeping theme, then it's immediately about Hector hatching his plan to abuse the arena. They literally just walked over to the nearby port! What's with all the melodrama?!

Sacred Stones is such an underrated game. While FE7 is my favourite, this one has always been special to me
