I really like the picture of the Byleths on the front cover of the video. I think both Byleths look handsome and beautiful, respectively, and love their facial expressions throughout Three Houses. This particular video cover really caught my eye, though: both seem so sad, but not totally distraught with hatred. They show a face as though their total anguish is so burdensome--so hard to cope with. They are the teachers, and as such, they require more emotional strength to guide their students. And even though their strength and knowledge is great, the tensions of reality weigh heavy upon their shoulders. Realistically, these tensions are realistically conquerable, but the supreme size they boast seems to affect the Byleths as though the divide, battle, and hate of Three Houses crushes their hearts and tender affection for others, summarizing the ultimate sadness of reality: cherishing those who we love, to do it the best we can, requires total sacrifice--total dying to oneself. The Byleths do this: they die totally to themselves for others. Regardless of the challenges they face, great or small, they are there--fighting for the Three Houses and the bettering of the world for their beloved ones.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses came out around the same time my mentor lost his life to ALS. I have a hard time processing grief, but being able to play as Byleth after Jeralt's death helped me figure out what I was feeling
