Fire Evacuation & INTRUDER Alarm! | S.E.R. System Test 29

The garage (S.E.R.) fire alarm system now has voice evacuation! The Fire-Lite and Wheelock fire alarm control panels on one of my demonstration boards are now temporarily wired into the Kidde panel on the garage system. This is not a permeant change, but we have voice evacuation for this system test and the next one! Thank you for watching, check out some of my other videos and subscribe!

​@@gyldn3115 l we be doing a fine alarm system test siemens speaker strobe 4 watt high low tone for the test l have the system sensor spectralert advance speaker strobe mounted on the wall and the gentex SS PK 24 PR speaker strobe Setcw speaker only 4 watt high low tone and the wheelock as and the wheelock mt code for a while

Every system (fire, security, emergency etc) has a relay output that is usually connected to a siren. This relay output, can be connected as a "detector" on another alarm system. Making the panel a sub-panel. Imagine you have a shopping mall. Then you can have a master system (fire and intrusion loop, 24h) wired to each tenant to a junction box, and then the tenant hooks up their own alarm system to this loop, meaning, that logically, each tenant's alarm system, is a "detector" in the large panel. So on master fire or intrusion panel, you see which tenant gone off, then you go to that tenant's panel and see which detector gone off. So basically, if you have a rent house complex, you could have a small 4-zone system in each house, 1 pull station and 3 smoke, that the tenant controls himself (and can hush/silence/reset if it just was some burnt bread in toaster). Then this 4-zone system's siren output is wired to a "smoke detector input" on a bigger panel with lets say 16 zones, one for each house. So on master panel you see which house gone off, go to that, subpanel says which detector. Great way to project a fire or intrusion system when you don't own everything.

@@stacywilliams1310 The principle is easy however, if you want panel A to trip panel B, just think the panel A as a really big smoke detector or PIR detector, and then connect accordingly.

HOWEVER if the unit you want to trip, is a adressable unit with no non-adressable inputs, you will need a so called adress unit, which will convert a dry relay input to adressable data communication. This input, you connect to the relay ouput of the panel that is the triggering unit. Preferable you can stick the whole adress unit into the enclosure of the triggering unit (the one that sends the alarm) so the unit that you want to trip, has protected communication all the way.
