FIRE !!! -- in Bacolod public Plaza

this morning, May 7th 2021 there was a huge fire just opposite the Bacolod City public plaza

My mom used to work there as a beautician. Sadly we sold our spot there for 80k but thankfully we did because if we didnt, she probably got caught on fire. The fire was just the back of her parlor and nearly got burned.

Very good news that I know the fire isn’t bad at all and was easily manage to stop spreading . Sad for whoever get involved and damages and hopefully they learned their lessons to be careful and make sure all electrical and cooking place are always check and give a very thorough attention so this accident will never occur again .

It's always sad when the squatters areas get hit by fire. They are basically tinder boxes and never is there just one house razed. It's often, 50, 100 or even more houses.

It’s a 3rd world , yes we know that , you don’t need to mention that. Poverty are everywhere and anywhere in the world . There are fires happening right now anywhere in the world , it could be in rich house , it could one of the condo somewhere , it’s how you treat fire and check your electrical things in your home and also smokers they create fire . No one wants to burn their property or themselves , accidents happens anytime but some accident can be prevented .

I don’t look down the Philippines I was born there myself , I’m now living in one of the riches country in the world but still everyday you heard fire brigade here running like headless chicken and by the way there are lots of good and beautiful houses and good people in the Philippines that they don’t feel that they live in the 3rd world country . I think the Philippines is paradise on earth .

I happened by the day after the fire and credit really needs to go to both the firefighters and the improvements in building materials even in the last 10 years. Hoping more structures are built in these areas from cement block, parlons and tin. These houses, as was the case here, act as a fire barrier decreasing dramatically fires from spreading.
