Wow, easy to get lost out there in the dunes. Love the architecture... epic homesteads. Glad you both had a nice time in NY.

@@potatothorn "Some less known" yah, true, but I lived in the Indian Wells Valley for 34 years, Eureka Dunes area is a bit more familiar to me than some :-) . If you haven't yet, you want to visit Saline Valley Warm Springs. An authentic desert oasis.

@@potatothorn Gotcha. Yah, never went to Saline after the middle of April or before middle of October. Can not say I am the least surprised that you are aware of the Warm Springs. Appreciate the reply.

Getting to Fire Island isn't cheap or easy, what with the paid parking and the ferries. Though you can get to some communities if you park in the easternmost lot at Robert Moses park and walk a moderate distance.
@potatothorn2 жыл бұрын
true i never thought of that part, the parking expense// i might try the walk from Robert Moses some time./.. a few years ago i did Ocean Beach to Pines. BUt: i had my Mom there to give me a ride to the ferries, and in Sayville we are close enough to walk, we usually get a ride one way // still with the ferry and buying anything to eat over there it is not cheap that is true but at least a day trip is attainable once in awhile... of course if you want to drink you're in big trouble WOW is it ever expensive at the bars!! Fire Island is our big expense for our trip, lucky my Mom is still in Sayville...
