Fire It Up Friday with two yr old Packit Gourmet Biscuits and Gravy 29 May 2023 at MW

Time for a Fire It Up Friday with some Fatwood Queen fatwood and my Nathan 4071 striker and ferro rod I received from Brandon at Triumph Screen Printing. Also more owl and some super salty Packit Gourmet. It was so salty I only ate half of it.

That owl is pretty cool. I hope it got what it was aiming for. I had a feeling that biscuit and gravy would be not great, but I knew for sure it wasn't going to get better waiting another year.

It is pretty strange looking how they rotate their head. It made a couple of retail workers I showed it to scream. They are not country folk.

Shlissa's is fresher, so it does smell a little better. But Tracy's still smells pretty decent.

My buddy picked up refrigerated canned biscuits with sausage gravy once many years ago. They were good, so naturally he could never find them again. These did not look too bad. I think you could make your own with bisquick, bulk gravy mix and dehydrated sausage. Thank you for sharing this with us, Fernbark. Stay safe and stay cool

As a "Hiking Meal", I think the average Hiker would have difficulty making the Biscuits using the typical small, lightweight stove and Pot set-up even though "Skillet" is in the name. I have an idea how to do it. Mountain House Biscuit & Gravy might be the easier version to prepare.

MH Biscuit and Gravy? I suppose we could give them training wheels for their backpacks too. Next thing you know, people will be making videos 40ft from their car and saying they are bushcrafters. ;)

The Packit Meals generally have a little more preparation involved. They are generally a superior item.
