Bruh. Fire mage in cata, was the absolute best time for mage. I wanna say that I spent like 80% of my in game time during cata. Pvping on my fire mage. The other 20% of the time, was spent BSing around in raid progression on my mains. My mains were a disc priest, and ele shaman, which I really enjoyed playing aswell. But the second that main raids were called for the night. I'd instantly whiched over to my mage and pvp'd for countless hours.

Hey, Hansol. I just wanted to let you know that you are the biggest inspiration and the reason why I went fire. A lot of people, that I know, tells me to go frost, but frost is so boring and fire so fun. I think I'm talking on behalf of almost every mage in WoW, when I say that fire is more fun than frost. You may have more survivabillity in frost, but in fire you can fire off 3-4 pyro's in one Deep Freeze, and you can run around while casting Scorch. You're the reason why I got in to fire :)

@kickazs94 Hi kickazs94, I suggest you level as Frost because it is the easiest and most efficient. I'm not the type of guy that goes the easy route but a lot of people are like that nowadays. If you want to get past the boring leveling, rush it as Frost then switch to Fire if you want to try it out at 85 and start gearing. I'd even say maybe switch Fire at 80 so you can experience it for 5 levels and get the basic feel for it instead of having a big learning curve instantly at 85. Gl and hf!

Get the shatter spec from the frost tree, then when you get that, get someone in a frost nova, or cone of cold (if you have the improved cone of could which freezes them in place) then when theyre frozen cast scorch followed with a fireblast immediately after. That will give you your hot streak proc.

I play both frost and fire really good but frost got boring so im sticking with Fire in the distant future. The thing is i roll 6/32/3 instead of usual going fire/frost because i really dont want to play the freeze and crit style..im more of a dot up and kite/run person (thus i specced Improved blink). my question is do use Molten Armor in general pvp (for extra 5% crit) or Mage Armor / Frost Armor combo depending on enemy?

your rogue duels are getting better and better. the lay down of a ring of frost just before the shadow step was epic, to bad you lost that duel. However if the rogue had used cloak twice you would have most likely died and the only blind i saw was at the very end of a duel where he died 1 second later. i do have a question though, in the first shatter combo you scorched and fire blasted, however i saw an ice lance animation hit the target also, is it a trinket or does something not have a GCD?
