Fire Mage Rework is JUST PERFECT!

Welcome back to MarcelianOnline! Today, we’re looking at fire mage rework in the war within alpha and right off the bat, this is the best designed class so far! It’s no exaggeration and yes, very subjective but both frostfire and sunfury mage are incredible. I mean, war within mage hero talents aside, what they actually did to the spec talents is just pure magic and we’re covering it ALL today!

I am an ele shaman main and have been since Cata, the more I see fire mage rework and very little and boring news on Shaman, I might swap to fire for warthin.

@@myrthevanbeest man try enhance, ima fury main and see im very excited for slayer as i love bladestorm and seein u get a bunbch of mini bladestorms mid rotation is so cool, but enhance they seriously needa simplify it, the rotation for enhance is legit a good 13-16 buttons, and theirs so much shi goin on in a raid with 8 diff debuffs u gotta look for, 3 diff things to dodge, adds and all this shi, u cant pay attention to all that, then have 16 or so buttons in a rotation, its jus insane how on point u need to be to do decent dmg as enhance wen as fury i got a rotation of maybe 5 buttons 6 max and im doin top 3 dps every fight

It's quite amazing seeing what they can do with a spec that they clearly have passion for, and which also has such a clear and defined identity. They aren't afraid to just throw cool stuff at it, and then make the effort to make it work. This is the kind of spec they had in mind when conceptualising hero talents. Because the specs that don't have that defined identity, that don't have a driven dev team behind it. Oh boy, you sure can tell.

Same for me. Will prolly level Mage and WW fast, idk which one first tbf to have ranged and melee to play with and other fun specs like unh and shadow afterwards. With the warbands it may finally be enjoyable to play alts alongside main and just shuffle between them, so it feels refreshing to do keys and raids. Been glued to different main each patch for 3 expansions now, with no alts cause all the catching up on everything was feeling too much of a chore and timewaste to me

Interesting. I watched that 1.5 hour podcast with the three fire mages and they raised tons of issues about this rework and talent tree. I mean for me it looks awesome, but what do I know. Can't wait to play it!

I'm stoked. Heh, stoked. Fire mage. I like we're given real options on play style. I much prefer to be able to press a button instead of waiting to hit the RNG jackpot. I like the idea of Spontaneous combustion refreshing all three charges of Fire Blast and Phoenix Flames. That "up to 3 charges" language has me concerned. As long as it doesn't have a long cooldown. BTW- I can already see the nerfs coming in.

If they don't end up cooking another great class rework for 11.0 then mage and monk it is with other guys afterwards. Shadow hero talents defo look fun, playing it in s4 rn and it feels great. Dh rework is something I am definitely waiting for, but prolly will be a smaller changes and bigger rework in future patches, same with shammy. With that being said they reworked 2 of my 3 favourite specs so well, now gotta wait for elemental. Maybe in last titan 🤣

I have never played mage before but watching this video has me very excited to try fire mage. It looks absolutely incredible and the spells just seem to have the OOMPH like you can feel the weight of your spell casts dealing damage. It just looks like a heavy hitter spec and I leaning very heavily toward it in TWW.

Shaman needs the mage treatment. Ele specifically just as way too many things going on and none of them feel all that great. Hopefully a rework is in the works.

until fire returns to cata/mop, it'll always be way too many buttons and feel horrible. If you like the way fire is you probably like high apm which there's nothing wrong with that, but fire is NOT anything like a fire mage. It's literally just too many uneccesary buttons that give the class no upgrade or significance. It just adds to the clutter.

The “if it doesn’t spread” talent isn’t single target. Think about the chain reaction. PF applies LB to 3 targets. That explodes and applies it to 5 targets. Those explode and apply to 8 targets. Those explode and… don’t spread. So those 8 just explode a second time. I might have added a step to the chain but the idea stands. It just adds a “apply to the same targets again” to the end of whatever chain you are using it in when it ordinarily would just be done.

I mean, I am all for the future, but you would be having an impossible task to find a caster that casts LESS than fire mage. I actually think there is NO caster with more instants than Fire. On top of the actual hard casts you do being very very few. Sounds like you want to play Beast Mastery :D

Yeah I agree never was into the hot streak spam. You miss one cast and drop hot streak and your dmg just goes poo poo. The other 2 specs are just way more forgiving in that aspect.
