Government requirements for social distancing, this show was canceled initially, then was set again with heavier guidelines, no screaming, no yelling, clapping only. The fans were happy to go,. and lovebites were happy to play. I used to listen to Kittie when I was in high school. Their music was ok, but they are nowhere near the talent of the band you just watched. I understand wanting to compare them to women, but their talent level puts them with the big boys, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden. Lovebites is extremely fast and extremely technical.
@DravenReactions3 жыл бұрын
100%! I wasn't trying to compare in the sense of talent but more so mentioning this song reminded me of the newer Kitty sound. Either way, lovebites keeps blowing me away every time I listen to them!

Hey your wife should really love Swan Song with piano intro (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPLpaSdnr14d5Y), Miyako slays the keys and Asami does her ballerina dance throughout the song, blends classical piano and metal and makes it work. Here one of their darkest and heavier offering and Asami, the little Napoleon has really grown into her role as stage commander, crowd controller and lyricist supreme. Here no one plays Thrash better LIVE than Lovebites and the M & M show in all it's glory as usual. You may never know where a song will go but with Lovebites you know it will always by awesome and as close to flawless perfection as humanly possible. Enjoy the concert and remember act your age in the PIT, we don't need your wife coming on and telling us you are on hiatus thanks to the PIT!!!! (LOL)

hahah! OMG, This comment made my day. So my wife saw me moshpitting at the Trivium show I went to back in 2019 cause the concert was lived streamed onto Twitch and she was like " did you get pushed?" "Yes I did" "Are you okay? "Yes, I was fine til the next morning" "You're such an old man" lol But yes we got sits so we can enjoy the show but access to the pit if certain songs come on! I appreciate the suggestion. Her hesitation is she has never been on camera or anything like this so she is concerned she would just be quite the whole time and not know what to say. We may get a reaction eventually. Hopefully! lol

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics: The blue moon colors the blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and a fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Hear haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? I actually don't think it's a bad thing for singers to step away when solos are being played. Instead of disrespect, I see it as a sign of respect. The singer is letting the guitarists take the audience's attention. I've seen singers do it many times
@DravenReactions3 жыл бұрын
So kinda what I was getting at with that comment. I agree with what you are saying in terms of letting the guitarist have the spot light etc, Disturbed, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, imo all do great jobs of still engaging during guitar solo's, and like I mention when Lovebites singer just steps backwards for a moment to get water and fix her dress is totally fine, I just more meant with dragonforce when the singer walked off stage and sat down, but either way.

About the audience, they were controlled by the regulation under China virus situation. But your observation is quite right. Japanese metal heads, I myself is Japanese, have tendency to enjoy shows as music concerts such as jazz, classic concerts.

Few people have commented that due to covid restrictions they changed up the venue requirements a little so that makes sense. Again, I do little to no research before reacting so this is why I didn't know it was because of Covid issues. Super glad they found a solution and the band was still able to perform!

In Japan, the vaccination rate has finally reached 50% due to the delay in securing the vaccine. Moreover, the number of people infected with mutants is increasing rapidly. Strict regulation will continue until the inoculation rate exceeds 80% and herd immunity is formed. Many groups have stopped live activities since last year.

You have mentioned that people keep making the same comments over and over. Can I suggest you mark comments when you read them, so we know you saw them? It might reduce the repetition. So, here is the comment I left on your first reaction to them. It contains a lot of links and history in one place. By now you know some of the info from various comments, so forgive any repetition. Congratulations on finding the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Their founder and bassist announced her departure on Aug 17, 2021, so we can only hope they find a way forward. Meanwhile, we console ourselves with their astonishing catalogue of work. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPLpaSdnr14d5Y; but if it is taken down, you can watch two clips back to back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnWlm5yHfp6Wr8U and kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3bWdop_iMhrh5I I promise, it’s worth it. Other live songs to check out are "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZ2TXohjrtB9ebc They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonLkKiDgp5noLc. You already did “Break the Wall”, "Holy War", "Glory" and "Scream for Me", I believe. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6rRn4t6m6qhpLs (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while it’s generally true their live clips are best, their MV’s are epic and worth seeing: "When Destinies Align" kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn2plp9_bpiJoa8 "Winds of Transylvania" kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqSoZYiYlLWdnpo. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
