The problem is, if you don’t cook the root it will likely grow back. I have a larger version of this and it works well on some plants, less so on others. Ex, dandelions have long roots and they always grow back.

Even using chemical weed killers, the weeds still tend to grow back. And even if those weeds don’t grow back new weeds will.
