When I read FP years ago I was confused at so many different themes being thrown together almost haphazardly. But there is this genuine albeit slightly unrefined stillness that Fujimoto was able to convey throughout the chaos that was just so captivating. Upon reaching the final chapter, although I might not understand half of what happened, it was an amazing experience that literally do be 'hitting different'. To see the author master his craft with Chainsaw Man, I am excited to see what's next.

@@sasaider3711 The writing from ch 1-5 and 20-70 is the strongest in Fire Punch. Chapter 40-60 is genuinely one of the better arcs ive read.

You're right on the money when you said FP takes you to a place you've never seen before. In interviews, Fujimoto mentioned liking and wanting to create such works. It would have been cool if you talked more about Judah or the themes of Fire Punch but i guess that'd be kind of spoilery for an introduction video... Nevertheless, it was a good video overall. Your criticisms are actually reasonable and valid unlike other Fire Punch reviews where some people said it sucked and lost all its themes, progression, and meaning just because it didn't have a final villain to provide conflict at the end.

I'm glad you liked it. I made this more so to get people into fire punch so I didn't dive too deep into it and focused more on Agni. Tbh I can understand those complaints bcuz although Fugimoto did that intentionally, it may not have clicked with some. Personally, I actually liked the whole character study perspective and how there was no real antagonist (leading Agni on a completely different path). But either way, again, thank you!

The story has an unbelievable amount of flaws as a story but I love it regardless which is strange cause I would normally hate a story like such. The amount of dropped plot points and plot holes is crazy when you think about it after finishing but Fujimoto was still able to get you to feel what he was trying to tell. It's amazing honestly but it also makes me wish he rewrote the story, maybe remaster it 🔥

I feel like there could be things better executed in the whole story, but i can let that go, its not a big flaw like that. But the final chapters were...kinda bad. I wouldnt call it unpolished gem. Fire punch has a better plot than chainsaw man. Its just the pacing of csm is insane that it mess with your head sometimes. Agni is a better protagonist but denji felt more relatable and humane in a way. Both manga is great would recommend it
