This whole place is a violation, jeez. Fire safety is not looking good obviously but gosh, the broken glass, the mold... This is a very nice idea to have a Chinese supermarket, I am sure if there are lots of tourists or immigrants coming from China and nearby regions coming to this area of Boston it gets good traction, but it is just a shame to see it in such despair. I hope the building can see new light and will have people coming to it still!

Yes, indeed there are a number of older types of fire extinguishers that no longer meet modern safety requirements and should not be found anywhere except perhaps in a museum, empty of course. Carbon tetrachloride and the soda acid type extinguishers, for example have not been manufactured in the U.S. since the late 1960s because they were found to be toxic or otherwise dangerous for the operator. In general any extinguisher that can no longer be serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers specifications is considered obsolete and should be removed from service immediately, for example if the manufacturer of the extinguisher went out of business and OEM parts are no longer available to maintain it in operable condition. Fire safety is not something to be taken lightly. Lives are at stake and you are well within your right to report your findings to the city code enforcement or fire Marshal, where the owner or property manager can be required to rectify the situation in a timely manner.

I really need to contact the fire department in Akron about the parking garages downtown (they need to be condemned)--they really should also inspect a lot of the apartment buildings--I even found fire doors wedged open that even have a sign on them telling not to. IDK how these building owners are allowed to get away with this. i'm not gonna be living in Akron for much longer as the crime has gotten out of control and the fact that they keep demolishing everything for cheap ass housing. I'll be moving to Pittsburgh

Fire safety is not even a laughing matter. Does fire extinguishers do not pass inspection. So call your fire marshal or your city code enforcement officers or your DER code enforcement officer to get this problem stopped with these people. They will enforce the codes and get the store in check. SO CALL CALL CALL!!!!!

Wow, a while later and the building is still unsafe of deficant fire safety (some are still fixed). This definitely needs to be told to the fire marshall and have them write up the building But yes it seems like the building is sort of getting better every year but it needs to be corrected quickly in a certain time frame as they never had a fire mashal to understand any building regardless of ethnicity or other typical organization of people
