I have to applaud Cuber Knight, because not only did the TAS bow to all of the nailmasters (sly included) but he let grimm bow too. Barely any other person has the common courtesy to bow to them.

Deserves mentioning that TAS generally involves a lot of RNG manipulation as well. The TAS didn't respond quickly to No-eyes conveniently spawning next to it, it summoned her there.

I thought that before too. While it is possible in some games, but for HK it isn’t practical even for the TASer because of the sheer number of rng calls per frame. Check out Raylea’s latest video interview with ConstructiveCynicism (Any% NMG TAS) for the nitty gritty of HK TAS. It’s just that they can predict the spawn location as Fire mentioned, but manipulating HK rng needs a good amount of random luck 🙂

most of the timesave is probably from Nail Cancel turnarounds on every hit EVEN ON SIDESLASHES through the use of a tiny one frame turnaround, across the 40+ fights that is bound to save so much time lol

the nailslash animation with quick slash is about 0.32s iirc, turning around cancels the last 0.07s or so of the animationand lets u reslash earlier than just slashing would

@@jamesorendorff2284 8 months late but I will explain On the wiki: Quick slash can do the following - reduce attack duration to 0.28 second (which is basically how long the slash animation stays) - reduce attack cooldown to 0.25 second (when that time ran out, you can slash again) *Remember the difference between attack duration and attack cooldown* You can attack again after the attack cooldown end (which mean you can attack every 0.25 second), however, because of the attack duration, you cannot attack again before the attack duration end, so you are force to attack every 0.28 second. But here something interesting. If you turn around (by moving in a opposite direction of your player) the attack duration cancelled, thus removing the 0.28 second from the attack duration, and there's only the 0.25 second from the attack cooldown. And by exploiting that, you can slash every 0.25 second if you consistent at cancelling the attack duration by turning around
