coil on doomguard doesn't make sense, he needs the coil to make a 5 from a voidlord
@AlexanderQ6897 жыл бұрын
The other Voidlord was already a 6, coil on the first would have worked.
@ardaorhan7 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's the only "misplay" I caught. He could've kept a defile for a coil, which is almost always a good thing. Especially if you're in the danger of fatigueing out. He made some sick calls though.

8:20 you just need to coil one voidlord and everything dies to defile. the doomguard does the 1 the coiled voidlord does the 2 the other voidlord does the 3 the allied doomguard does the 4 the coiled voidlord does the 5 the other voidlord does the 6
@jaegybomb7 жыл бұрын
The 2nd defile also set it up and no matter which was used the other would have ended up sitting in his hand to discount the giants for the rest of the game.
@xBrayJay7 жыл бұрын
Matt Jaeger well clearing with one defile is always gonna be better than using both, so still kind of a misplay. But it’s easy to call something a misplay from the comment section, and the rest of the game was played very well.
@jaegybomb7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say always. I bet there are cases where having a coil in hand might be better than having the 2nd defile.

@Firebat 8:06 Cast coil on a Voidlord then defile = full clear 1: doomguard; 2: coil'd Voidlord; 3: Voidlord; 4: ur Doomguard; 5: 1/3 from coil'd Voidlord; 6: 1/3 from other Voidlord; 7: the 2 last doomguards. at 8:30, mortal coil one voidlord and throw down defile can be a full clear.. heres a tip in mirror, count voidlord as its hp and its hp+3. a 3/2 voidlord acts both as a 2 health minion and a 5 health minion. firebat did a small misplay but its fine. Great game still.

I don't care what people think this deck is cool. Yeah it kills so many decks just automatically but really this deck is a beauty it can play so many different kinds of games based on match ups this kind of deck only comes around once in a blue moon appreciate it.
@mosabmousa16737 жыл бұрын
rat488 yeah this deck is definitely fun to play. People just hate on anything that's meta. Probably the most fun deck warlock had got in a while.
@ridwanurrahman19677 жыл бұрын
Exactly!! This is so much better than the other meta decks that existed and people automatically call it cancer :s
@BryanTerran7 жыл бұрын
A deck can be cool in a vacuum and also still make for a bad overall meta - or at least that's the case in a world where Blizzard is against buffs. If Blizzard would take a second look at some other control decks that just can't stack up in a world of Cubelocks than maybe they could build a healthier meta while still keeping Cubelock entirely intact.
@ExtraDip6136 жыл бұрын
this deck is absolute bullshit. ruins the whole game and really not fun to play against. just nerf it pls
@DinoBat6 жыл бұрын
Literally any deck can be unfun to play against, and although it does have a pretty low skill floor, the skill ceiling is very high. Blizzard needs to make more decks where there is a high skill ceiling, it makes for interesting gameplay.

@TLV_Enjoyer7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I messed up the timing a little bit and had the situation in my mind when Firebat already ate one of the Voidlords (8:40). --You still play your Mistress, but then you coil one of the Doomguards so you don't have to waste another Defile.-- Oh wait, that's wrong. For some reason I thought both of his opponents Doomguards had 6 hp or something. Though I'd still agree that it would be better eating his face, coiling one Voidlord and still playing the Mistress to get extra heals just to be more safe.

The opponent just shat himself. He had no contingency against prince 3 on his cube and all but smorc dmg and no way to deal with board
@caelis19827 жыл бұрын
he would've won if he played the cube and then prince 3 it, so just bad play on his end. When your enemy is at such low health you play whatever you can. He know that the other player has giants so it is just risky to wait that out, he also knew that he didn't use his spellstones so just bad playing from the other player.
@saki34577 жыл бұрын
Opponent didnt have mana for taldaram after firebat played giant, check again. Unless you mean he should have played those earlier, which again is not possible as giant would have been more expensive and everyone plays one twisting in cubelock, except firebat. So he was playing safe and didnt know that firebat doesnt run nether.(If he played the giant earlier he would have missed on the ping making firebat last longer in case he did have twisting
@FrontierChampion7 жыл бұрын
I'd probably say opponent should just have focused on clearing those 2 giants, Firebat was 2 cards ahead in fatigue with those 2 last threats on board, he didn't need to smorc. I would have played giant, prince 3 and either hero power 1 of firebats giants.
@osmium68327 жыл бұрын
Very impressive game! I would have tried something desperate like using Prince 3 on my mistress of mixtures just to get more health and missed the opportunity to copy his cube.

nooooo.... easy defile @ 8:28 for full clear (with 1 defile) coil 1 of the void lords play the mistress of mixtures and defile that board. Was that a mistake by the opponent to Cube his own Giant? What would've happened if Firebat didn't get to Taldaram that cube.
@yandrosyoutube7 жыл бұрын
Sigurd VJ in hindsight it definitely looks like one, but it wasn't easy to see. A strictly better play than his was to taldaram an enemy giant and cube it, but he also would have lost anyways. The only play that might have given him the win was to cube and mountain giant (no hero power then) for maximum board. Firebat would have won control of the board but maybe wouldn't had been able to pressure enough face damage before dying to fatigue.
@tinss6197 жыл бұрын
I don't think his opponent was playing around taldaram, lol but either way i'm sure he was doing what he felt was right towards putting out the most damage he could in 1 turn, granted that guy was rank 63 legend, so he probably had a game plan
@DaFieFie7 жыл бұрын
No. He needed to dark pact instead of hero power. Right play, wrong execution. He didn't recognize that Firebat had no minions left. Good deck tracking would have won him the game. If he removed Firebat's board he won every time, but he got greedy.
@yandrosyoutube7 жыл бұрын
Phi A. So optimal play was taldaram, cube it, and dark pact it. Next turn giant and hero power
@DaFieFie7 жыл бұрын
yandros3000 No. Same play, just pact instead of hero power. So then he contests Firebat's two giants and firebat only has minions that will die to a single ping and is deeper in fatigue.

@knewbod7 жыл бұрын
LFielding07 because it created a 2/1 and he knew he only needed 1 hp, the difference between 1 and 3 hp at that point was nothing. Further, he only wanted to draw cards until his deck ran out and mortal coil can be used as a ping with no draw while kobald librarian becomes a 2/1 take 4 damage
