I love my fireboard and recommend it to everyone that's serious about smoking. Next thing we need - wireless probe that can be read by the fireboard. I was hoping that was what was being announced.

Please can you tell us how fast the Fireboard Spark can give a reliable temperature reading. I have been looking at the Thermapen One which as the name suggest gives a reading in one second. The ThermoPro TP19 is a favourite on Amazon and is 2 seconds at a low price but the first time I used it to take the internal temperature of steaks searing on a grill the plastic melted at the end nearest the grill. What temperature is the Fireboard Spark rated to work at?

I don't understand how this would work. Does it just measure the rate of temp increase and apply that to the target temp? What about the stall (if applicable)?
