When he said we have no choice but to stay and report, it reminded me of when most journalists actually did their job.

VICE News goes on a tour of media offices that have been firebombed, and visits the last standing independent newspaper in Bujumbura. Watch "Inside a Bujumbura Opposition Stronghold: Burundi on the Brink (Dispatch 2)" - bit.ly/1K47okc

VICE News All you do is reporting in the "africa is acting like africa again"-style. Why don't you tell us, what is ACTUALLY going on. What are the complaints of the opposition? What is the goverment doing? What is the more or less impartial view on the situation? You didn't tell us, what the "rebels" are up to! Maybe there is a good reason why they are being persecuted. We don't know, because you don't tell us anything about the conflict other than showing us the government being the government and rebels being rebels.

VICE News Thank you for showing the world how hard it is now to live in Burundi. This dictatorship has taken all the freedom we used to have.

God Bless America. We live in the greatest country in the world yet there are so many people that are whining and complaining. Like the homosexuals and the liberals. Look at the mess in Burundi and other 3rd world countries. You people should be thankful to live in this amazing country. USA is truly the greatest nation to ever exist. ~Richard Parker

I really can't think what's inside the heads of army and police leaders, I mean, can't they see they are destroying their own homes for a power thirsty president ? They're digging their own graves, I really feel sorry for Burundi ppl.

Some brains are born broken. Some break along the journey of life. Until sanity reigns supreme in each of us, we will undoubtedly be willing to spill the blood of others to fight for our own agenda. We need to hold these people accountable to prevent them from influencing others.

***** They dont want to solve their problems they only talk about it to feel better about themselves. But helping them by their own hands? Leftists and progressives are mostly sociopaths/psychopats and rich kids who never worked for their own survival. Living on the internet and thinking they know better.

I'm curious why vice dons't talk so much about the Euro crisis. It is FAR more important world-wise than Buruindi, a place that most of us dind't even know that existed, Yemen, or fantasies about Russia. Just my opinion. But I'm curious.
