Nice to see you doing the Fireclaw Werebear now. Can't wait to see you tackle Hell. I got my Hardcore Solo Self Found Fireclaw Werebear to lvl 96 before I got bored. I did Zeal Paladin again to lvl 92 and got bored again. After seeing your impressive no vitality Barb run, I might try it with Throwing Barb. I'm surprised you didn't do a zeal paladin yet, I thought those were one of the popular melee builds. Thanks for the great entertaining videos this year. Happy Holidays. Ps. I honestly like this video format. It's nice to see how people not named MrLlamaSC run through the game normally. Me, I prefer running the game really slowly. Clear white/trash mobs, play on high player count on Normal and Nightmare, grind Nightmare for essential items, health and resistances, and only start Hell when I'm at least lvl 75. I have cleared the game deathless since D2R released many times, though softcore because I hate losing items. I recently finished my very first SSF run on Hardcore on a Berserk Barb, where I got my very first Guardian. Your videos taught me a lot of simple things on how to approach different problems throughout a run, and honestly I believe you deserve more credit that you get. You play D2 like most us fans have played it 20 years ago when it was released. Not grinding days and nights on Travincal and Pits to farm enough high runes for Enigmas and Infinities. But just to get through the end.

Dividing them up makes them much more doable as projects as well. If me splitting them up does well I'm going to keep doing it for future runs, it will allow me dive in a lot more than just the 1 video. I'm glad they help :) I've done most of a holy grail, but just farming for farmings sake just doesn't do it for me anymore. I prefer this just playing the game the oldschool way. Congrats on your first guardian! I too believe I deserve more credit than I get lol. I'm honestly kind of surprised at how small my channel still is considering the amount of love it's getting from the community. Especially seeing other channels that are much younger growing much faster kind of bewilders me. But the only thing to do is to keep posting video's. So that's what I'm doing.

@@thenuclearrabbit I was actually thinking to the dragon tail ability not dragon talon, it's the 18 level ability. It's kind of a niche build where you charge up with tiger strike and release with the explosive kick aka as dragon tail. When I discovered that build it was called a tiger and dragon assassin. You will do a ton of damage and kill whole groups of enemy with one kick. It's very efficient until nightmare and could have been of the best meta build if there was not a major flaw with that build : the damage of area are fire damage calculated on your physical damage meaning that ennemies immune to fire are immune to the fire part of your kick and you will do no damages at all against physical immune excepted if you trigger the kick against a none physical immune ennemy. It's one of the very first build I played with D2 and I really loved the playstyle but failed to go beyond nightmare with it. I would be curious to see a more experimented player trying it. I want to try another meme build, a paladin using bows or crossbows with holy fire and holy freeze maxed out. Using holy freeze against most ennemies to slow them while shooting them and switching to holy fire against cold immune. I think I could go through normal and nightmare with it but I have serious doubts about going through hell with it.

Hmm idk. To me you just missed way too many important things. 1. In act 1, always follow the path/road/trail whatever. It'll either lead you a cave of that area or the next area. 2. Because of point 1, you dont have to drop the Portal near the stone pillars nor do you have to find the waypoint in Stony Field. Just go thru the Underground Passage (Sometimes it's in the middle of the field and not at the edge), port home if you feel like it. When you find Woodfist, just continue to the next area until you find a waypoint, then port back to home, then port to cold plain and follow the path back to stony field. It's 10 times easier than having to hold on your portal or to find Stony Field waypoint. 3. I feel like the dolls, gloams, the moat trick deserve a mention 4. I feel like you should at least show how you build the merc a bit (the act 2 merc) since he's prolly quite important for most builds. If the LOOOORD is not giving him some Strength, give him some Insight. Can I have an "AMEN"! 4.5 I forgot the Teleport Staff. 5. Diablo's butlers (well acktually just the Seis & Infector of Souls) deserve a mention since they can both end your run if you're unlucky. 6. Diablo's most dangerous attack is by far the Bone Prison. And the only reliable counter play (for HC) is to save-and-quit. Yes you have to redo the stage but he rarely uses Bone Prison, just take the L and try again. Very few builds that can break out of it before he kills you. Only do it when he throws the lighting at you tho, the other attacks are survive-able ish and you can try to break out. 7. The most important rewards from Anya's quest, is by far, the resistance scroll that you get from Mara. Well unless you get a 5 Tornado 2 open sockets from Anya which is like yeah rite. 1. I didn't want to go into mapping/routing. If I did that, it would be a 4 hour video per difficulty. 2. That is just the failstate of what I talked about. 3. Dolls and gloams will be mentioned a ton in the nightmare and hell part. Thank you for reminding me about the moat trick though. I haven't done it in decades, but I should mention it at some point for sure. 4. This is the normal part. That is all stuff for the nightmare part. 5. They will get talked about at length in the hell part. 6. I mentioned the bone prison. 7. Not for a normal playthrough. The farming location is much more important. Fully agreed for Nightmare and Hell though :)

Advice for act 3. Get staff with teleport charges before you hit lvl 24. Easy to farm it coz they are red

It's good for every fire based build. Worst case you could even use it for a corpse explosion necro. Trapsins love it as well. Leaf is not very well known but it's kind of insanely powerful to get a +3 skill weapon at level 19

tbh, leaf is very good but as a melee build it won't be as effictive as other options which is expected. However, this will be heavily impacted if you are in a group or on a p8 setting, so keep that in mind. The best thing about a fireclaw druid is that Firestorm and molten boulder can be points well spent until you get fire claw. Well, time to try my own out but i might go werewolf for the attack speed/ frames but bear is tempting for the health. Great vid as always Rabbit, cannot wait for more

you should add to your EXP explsanation that both bosses AND THEIR MINIONS give 500% EXP. so if you can't kill a boss just clearing the minions still is worth it. Although that is a consideration for hell, i admit

Just lost my first hardcore run. Had a lvl 60 Hammerdin at nightmare worldstone keep. I was so overgearred that I went on autopilot and blew up 2 dolls with amp damage on me 😂.

I have never understood why people don't use ethereal items if they are better than what you are currently using? Just save your current item in the chest and use the ethereal item until it breaks or until you find something better. It is not like it is worth very much if you sell it anyway. I am currently using ethreal War Travelers on my MF sorc because it is the only War Travelers I have ever found in my 20+ years of playing DIablo 2. And if they help me find better items while I am using them, then why not? I also used an ethereal Shako until I found a normal one. You could also make a fun challenge run where you can only use ethereal items. And if you don't find enough ethereal items you could add the rule that you can use normal items but that you can't repair them.

Fair enough, but in act 1 normal it just doesn't matter. The only reason I even mentioned the felloak is cause of the insane amount of resistances on it for a level 7 item. I have used eth stuff on runs before. They last a lot longer than people think. Eth items only run has been requested a few times. I'll do it at some point :)

Same. I used an ethereal Shako until i found a real one. Esp. armor as there is only a 1/4 chance a melee attack (ranged will not triger it) to hit ANY piece of armor. It won't hit multiple armor slots even if it rolls the 1/4). So you've got a 1/4 of 1/5 (helm, armor, boots, gloves, belt) chance to lose durability on your ethereal piece. Eth weapons are hardly worth it because the drop in QOL will be much bigger when it breaks.

@@barryschalkwijk9388 I partly agree with you when it comes to eth weapons. But as I wrote above, you could just save the weapon you used before you found an eth weapon and you could also get lucky and find a better weapon before the eth weapon breaks.

very interested in the hell part. I had one of each class make it to at least act 2. but a3 and a4 were just destroying me. immunes are the stupidest game design choice. running through everything you cant kill isnt fun when it only takes 2 or 3 hits to go splat. ended up uninstalling when I realized I wasnt going to sit and farm unreasonable amounts of gear for sp only to still get screwed by immunes
