Nicely done man! You have a good solid swing and you keep the metal moving so the anvil doesn't suck the heat out to fast! I like the shape you forged. Thanks for the video!

You say back to basics, but that’s what I do every time I light my forge. I like doing it this way so I can feel the steel and let it become what it wants.

I do this all the time too, I mean focusing on the blade forging basics as far as the video goes. Thanks for watching

Again great tutorial. Make it look effortless. I always thought a cross peen worked better for moving metal, tried a regular 4lb sledge with the glancing blows and was thoroughly impressed.

Thanks! Yeah, I like that method most of the time

Proper forging, none of that angle grinding! Great traditional way of doing things.

Another great video man. Thank you for taking me to school every week. Just curious, will you do another video finishing this knife out or is this mission complete?
@FireCreekForge3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I wasn't planning on finishing this one on camera

I gotcha. Smaller Bowies are probably my favorite knives, so this was a cool video for me. Have a happy new year bud

Where do you get long steel plates like that?
@FireCreekForge10 ай бұрын
I currently buy most of my steel from New Jersey Steel Baron. Other options are Jantz Supply, Admiral Steel.
