Firefall does not have to reach too deep to deliver this classic hit song to enchant a SOLD OUT New Hampshire audience.

Talk about an underrated group...they're barely recognized, for God's sake. And they're known (where they are) for a completely vanilla song (title to remain unnamed, but Firefall enthusiasts know whereof I speak). These guys put out some wonderful and touching (pigeon-hole time) country-rock songs in the late '70s. To this day, am amazed at the lack of recognition, but, unfortunately, they're not alone in this situation.

I always wondered why they were not bigger than they were. A lot of people dont know who they are, until you name their songs....then they remember

Disagree. At the end he sings "you SHOULD HAVE took your love and your child away," His regret seems to be that maybe he was unable to provide "all the toys and the joys that a young man should have." Ambiguous? Maybe.

I was turned on to firefall in '76 by a close friend - fell in love with their music the moment I heard them - they had so much talent - it was love at first sound - Mexico - Cinderella - then Strange Way - what aband!

My daughters father recently came back into her life after being absent for most part of 43 years! I said this song will forever remind me of you and played this song for him. He cried his eyes out! It’s says all that’s needed to be said!

You know how Hard it is to find an open comment for this song. There’s a reason for that. I find these things incredible. Woke up to much. She knew the meaning. . Beautifully done. Childhood love song. .

Unnerving song of application, the hurt and sorrow of knowing your child grew up without you, No replacing time, it doesn't slow, wait, or pass you, it is always there, it is up to how you choose to spend time, time can be costly misspent. Cinderella can even be an adult with a fantasy of love, but when it affects a child and tragedy of broken hearts, the child's broken heart is often unknown. This is a fantastic song;

Whoever shot this did a great job! Lots of challenges to be dealt with, like the guy leaving his seat and walking right in front of you! lol. But the camera work was nice and steady and I loved how you panned over to show the flute player before he put his flute down and picked up his harmonica. Great two-shot of the two guitar players. So many videos that are shot from a concert seat are amateurish, but not this one. Great job! The sound quality is very impressive, too.

Cinderella Firefall Last December I met a girl She took a likin' to me Said she loved me But she didn't know the meaning of the word She imagined love to be grand Me holdin' her hand and Whisperin' sweet things and Cooin' softly like a song bird Then one mornin' she came to me With a tear in her eye and a Sigh on her breath Lord she said "Hon I'm heavy with child" I said "god damn girl can't you see That I'm breakin'my back Just tryin' to keep my head above water And it's turnin' me wild" Cinderella can't you see Don't want your company You better leave this mornin' leave today Take your love and your child away Rockin' chair on the front porch I'm thinkin' about all the things that I did As a young man Now that I'm old I remember her and the boy Did he have all the toys and the joys That a young man should have Before he gets too old Cinderella couldn't you see Didn't want your company Shoulda left that mornin' left that day Took your love and your child away Songwriters: Larry Burnett

I was 24 when this song was aired and I loved the message....poor guy knocks up (cuz that's what he did) a girl and ends of staying with her; basically giving up his life. And then a funny thing happened when I was much older (39) and a full grown man; the message took on a whole other meaning: and that is: don't fall for his bullshit and don't "give it up" unless you're sure. Time is a great teacher and all we Dads can do is hope she'll listen. I still love the song; just hate the message.

Not really.....when she first told him she was pregnant he told her to leave and take her child away. Later on the porch he's thinking about his life and he remembers her and the boy and the joys that a young man should have........and he reveals that she SHOULD have gone.......but she didn't. She stayed and together they raised the boy and gave him all the joys that he should have. Its a beautiful and moving love story, told from the prospective of an older, wiser man, thinking about his family. I cry every time. Side note....after my heart attack I sang this song to gauge my lung capacity.....no no no no no no no............no no no no no no no...,,..nooooooooooooooooooooo
