Not one day passes that I regret becoming a firefighter. Not one day passes where I dread going to work. There's no better feeling than the one you get after you helped save a life. I love this job and I hope to stay with it until I retire. Thank you for the tribute.

Been a volunteer firefighter for 4+ years as a junior, currently going through the schooling side of things to go professional, my grandfather and three of my uncles are also volunteers and so was my a good friend of mine, he unfortunately passed away in a head on collision when someone drifted into his lane. It’s given me a whole new light as to why I’m busting my ass every day with my training and schooling to do what they all believe I could make it to do.

I think that might be because that's where the tribute maker lives. But firefighting is a brother/sister hood, so even though it shows American stuff. It is supporting all firefighters world wide. We can go to competitions and events where we compete or get trophies, but on the fire ground all of that is forgotten and the focus is on getting the fire out and making it home. I'm a Firefighter, basic vehicle rescue tech and water rescue operator
