Millions? Nah, it's closer to infinite. The swarm infested 2/3 of the universe, and it took several Aeons to stop them. She and the Cavalry were doomed to die from the start when the first few bugs reached their star system. At some point, destroying the planet along with the bugs was the only way.

From this animation alone a lot of things were made clear if it's already weren't -The Swarm was a threat that current era are lucky that they don't have to deal with anymore. Aeons had to ganged up just to kill Tayzzyronth and a batallion of walking nuke mech are next to nothing to them -We're lucky that what Ruan Mei create can only lived for a minute -Firefly's desire just to live a simple life after all the death and horror she witness and went through -Firefly and Mei desperately needed company the most after all the crap they suffered

Watching this, it makes so much sense now why Firefly and TB created such a close bond to one another before the events of the game. Both are artificial humans whose destinies have never really been theirs to decide. Both also seem to be the sentimental sort using goofball tendencies (garbage diving and practicing bad-ass lines) as masks. And, both (at least now, but in the past for TB are destined to) wield power capable of literally shattering planets. Romantic or not is up to personal interpretation, but aside from Kafka literally being their destiny, Firefly was definitely the Trailblazers closest companion. I can only imagine how hurt Firefly was when she learned they'd lose all the memories of their bond. Not to mention how painful it must have been to finally see them again in Penacony, but with no recognition in their eyes.

I've hard time to feel emotional toward HSR, and this mainly because I don't feel enough attachment toward the characters. But ever since we met Firefly, get to know of her personality and the crushing fate she had to bear, I knew she'll be one of my favourite characters, but again what happen to Firefly in Act 1 still doesn't hit me enough. But then this drop, this freekin animation. To witness how tragic her life actually was, and how brokenly painful the war really is for her, and start from this moment 1:57, everything hit like truck, as even I can't help but on the verge of tears myself. This is the first time it ever had happen to me since I start playing HSR during the game release, the emotion that I used to only experience in Genshin, HI3rd and PGR story. Firefly deserve a true happiness for once, and I wish Caelus/Stelle can give her that. Please.

And same, music direction reminded me of SO MUCH of 86 it had me all teared up and emotional, being forced on this seemingly uphill battle, Sawano OST 🎶 coming in, the squad all saying their goodbyes to Lena and disconnecting, all of them one by one falling at the end of season 1. And MOST OF ALL the end where she found the letter they addressed to her. “If, one day, you make it to our final destination, would you please leave flowers?” (I see you Raiden Bosenmori Mei & Tiernan) and “Avid” OST starts playing 😭 Glad you also feel this in HSR and I am just happy that we still have Firefly here with us, to tell us this tragic yet inspirational story at the same time! I believe at this time glamount has already fallen, the knights are fighting on a small outpost planet and when hearing the capital planet has fallen they decide to suicide attack to the last one, they have no where to fall back to anw That orbital attack and scortearth policity probaly a planet breaker, aiming directly at the mother bug, making the planet it self unstable and on the verse of destruction. firefly attack was indeed powerful and destroyed the planet tho I have already seen some says that she was above Acheron and pretty much no lmao. Acheron would have just ended the’ swarm mother and the swarm with in one blow + the planet and the solar system when you see her myriad trailer correctly + statement and feats. So no for the firefly fans Acheron one shot in 1vs1. Acheron lowball solar system with one blow > firefly star-planetary lvl. Acheron FP can be 4D and uni in scaling in ap and hax with izumo statement. Btw the swarm mother is not even an emanator for those who says that. An emanator of propagation would have just oneshot the planet and tazzy not even need to mention.
