I checked the JP and CN trailers after this was released. Cyrene, the girl in pink at the end of the trailer, is voiced by Marina INOUE (JP) and Yanning (宴宁/CN) If this isn’t a confirmation that she’s the Ely variant, then idk what is. Now we need to wait for Phainon (Kevin Variant?)’s VA confirmation to nail in the connection. Which bears the question. If this one is Kevin, is he the White Haired Demon from Acheron’s trailer? Or just like Bronya we have two Kevins around 🤨 Edit: Realized that Expy is the wrong term here; variant is more appropriate as they aren't stand-ins for the actual characters. I think the way the two connect is that Star Rail is originally Genshin's past but now also the future with characters time travelling back with future knowledge. There was something in an Inazuma quest about timelines running in parallel? There are some bad vibes here with what happened on Tsurumi island, the greek theme (Iphigenia...), and Black Swan calling going to this place "refueling".

What will probably happen is Acheron will need a birthday party invitation so then she'll go and kill off their leader and leave the rest to scatter.
