Fire fly eh? Man these guys are coming out with some really nice stuff! 2bikeMike reviewed one of these but it was the Harley Benton model if I'm not mistaking. Great guitar but he had a few issues with his to Iron out. It would be cool to demo them side by side🤔 This guitar you got sounds fantastic! I'm sure Dan helps though!😎 Great playing! You better slow down! If that fret board gets much hotter you'll start a wild fire 👨‍🚒👨‍🚒👨‍🚒 Great vid boys!

I believe both pickups on this guitar are basically Strat pickups. The middle position neck/bridge combination is a combination you don’t typically get on a Strat, so I think that’s where this guitar will sound unique. It DEFINITELY sounds like a typical Strat on the neck, where Dan was playing in his little jam.

Hey, PG. I always start with the neck pickup, but I always try to use every possible combination. If you watch closely, you’ll see me flipping the pickup selector to the middle and the bridge position. Actually, I probably stay on the bridge position longer, just because it cuts through better. The Prince guitar is a Hohner madcat which was not so expensive - apparently he purchased it for 30$ - it was made by the Morris company in Japan and re-branded by Hohner.

Prince had Fender noiseless Strat pickups for a while, ended up with Kinmans noiseless, Kinman will or won't give up the pickup specs, depending upon which speculative forum debate you fall victim to. GFS Truecoils might do...

@oldasrocks9121 Thats because the pickups that the madcat had in them before squealed and feedback..they installed another pickup in the cavity bit hole in the back of the guitar to make it a hum b eliminating noise. But it didnt sound good so they were taken out the kinmans were suggested by Rusan who built the cloud guitar. Once installed and played through.Prince didnt like the sound of those and the kinmans were almost immediately taken out and the fender vintage noiseless were installed and are currently in the guitar today. They are the strat style not the tele style pickups.

I feel sick, I ordered the one from Harley Benton and I actually like it BUT know I have to find the pick guard that looks more like the one firefly had the good sense to put on theirs, plus for some reason the color on the firefly looks more accurate. On another note, dude you look like you just got off of a John Deere tractor, came in the house and smoked the hell out of that guitar solo, strange sit to behold, loved the video sir!

I've reshaped a few Monoprice Tele headstocks... not that difficult really with some cheap tools and a bit of nerve, practice on wood scraps and patience :)

Had the, much more expensive, Eastwood version. It was ok. Not great fret work. Good pickups. Interested in this one from several reviews. Of course sold out. Firefly has good gimmick keeping interest up by small batch.

I'm sorry to hear that, I suppose they sold out. The first time you asked I reached out to guitarsgarden.com and asked if they intend to make more. They said yes. Either just keep checking back on the website or I'm sure you will find some on Reverb or ebay, but they will have raised the price somewhat. Sometimes people purchase a lot of guitars and sell them for a profit.

It's a beautiful guitar, but kind of thin sounding - A bit too much poly for me - I wish the neck was just a roasted maple without all the lacquer - just a personal opinion

Much better with the jam track - I've found that my fireflys often need a slight truss rod adjustment to add a tiny bit of relief to fix the buzzing

beautiful looking/playing guitar and another brill review guys , really enjoyed it as i always do, just love your banter (the way you talk and bounce off each other with humour😁) and your honest reviews 👍 I would have looked at one to buy tbh, but i just bought a Jet JS-400 HSS last week and it is fabulous , for a £169 budget guitar it is fantastic quality for the money, my next buy will be a Groove guitar from Canada from US ebay, $135 US dollars for a strat style (free shipping from Canada to the US apparently and available in 17 colours) , but nearly $60 postage to the UK..still a cheap guitar for the quality you get apparently, I may await reviewing a groove guitar in the future and maybe you will review a Jet guitar too, to show the subs how good they are lol 😁 you and the families stay safe, have fun and enjoy yourselves 🥰
