Then a scene where he tries to shoot a guy, ends up shooting the guys gun. Beckett says "hell of a shot Castle" Castle replies with "I was aiming for his head." Last reference, I remember is in a later season Castle and Beckett are investigating a murder at a Scifi con at an Exhibit for a scifi show called "Nebula 9". Castle pokes fun at her for liking it and lists off a few "good" Scifi shows, last one he references is "That one Joss Whedon show"

You know it occurred to be that it would not take much cannon juggling to put "Cowboy Bebop" and "Firefly" in the same universe. In the end Jet and Spike let the Firefly escape when they realize how corrupt the people who put the bounty on them were.

First episode of Firefly Mal uses an anti air/space emplaced gun and when he activates the HUD to aim it starts up with a Weyland-Yutani logo visible. That puts Firefly in the same universe as the Aliens Movies. Those movies have crossovers with the predator franchise AND they mention that the Tyrel corporation was a competitor for W-Y. The movie Soldier was supposed to start with the battle of Tanhauser gate that was mention in Blade Runner and while that was cut for budget reasons it is mentioned on screen in his military service record and one of the flying cars being seen in a junkyard. So if you want an extended universe Soldier, The Blade Runner moves, The Alien movies, the Predator movies, and the series of Firefly and the following movie Serenity are all set in the same shared universe just at different points in the timeline with the Predator franchise going back several hundred years so I think it would be the earliest and I think Serentiy being the farthest forward since it is around 500 years in the future. If you want to go into comics and other stuff that may or may not be canon there are even more things that could be linked in like the fact that Batman fought a Predator once but the stuff I listed was all on screen in shows and movies

@@hackerx7329 From what I read up in the making of books they re-used a lot of sci-fi props to offset the cost of production, for example the uniforms of the Alliance guards are Starship Trooper costumes and repurposed guns. So it could just be just a means of saving money instead of connecting universes. But cool if it’s on purpose.

To be fair, Jericho was done in by the screenwriter's strike. The production team tried to write the scripts for Season 2, which is why it sucked so badly it tanked its audience share. Good writing takes the sort of actual talent that TV producers largely lack.
