Watch me separate this HUGE Whale Fin Sanseveria from it's baby

Welcome to my newest video about one of my favorite plants!
Today I thought to became a surgeon and tried to separate this momma plants and a baby Sansevieria aka Dracaena.

Tip, lean with both hand on the bottom of the plastic pot to 'break' it. This guarantees allows you to pull out the whole plant as a whole!

Great job Doctor Svetlana! I was shouting "do it! do it! do it!" but i guess you didn't hear me 😂. Glad you separated them because the baby is going to get huge quickly. I mean...mine did but maybe because I wasn't paying attention and when I finally looked, my eyes were like 😲

Oh,that baby is so cute!! And I know the mom loves her new pink pot. Great job! The part you don’t show or talk about is right after you repot is watering. Like the baby and her new pot, did drench it? If so do you add any go go juice (fertilizer)? Well let the experimentation comments. Can’t wait 😊 do you still have your tank top terra-cotta pot(boobies). That pot is so funny. But the white top needs a picture on it. Just wondering I know I seen it in other videos and I haven’t seen it lately. It’s one of a kind, never have I seen a terra-cotta pot with boobs. Hey! Youbare right, I should mention it in my next videos 🤔 I did not watered it for 4 days, let the broken part to dry out very nice, and only yesterday watered it with a little houseplant fertilizer 👀 I do still have it! Its in my kitchen, I guess I need to show it off more ☺️😁

Both plants look good and are spectacular. I sometimes put cinnamon on the open wound(s) to prevent bacteria getting into the plant. Have a great weekend!!

Hi Svetlana, I think Momma will be fine with out baby hanging onto her, and I think baby will be better in his own pot, and they both look amazing in their new pots, that pink pot for Momma is perfect! and the baby looks so cute in that grey pot. You did very good with the repot now they both have room to expand. I love how the Momma plant twists, that is so cool, and that baby is pretty big. thanks for sharing, I miss seeing Rocky but I am happy him and your boyfriend are on a walk and will return happy. Great and successful propagating! I heard rubbing a little cinnamon spice on the cut root or cut leaves will prevent infection to plant. I started doing that when I cut leaves to propagate sansaveria

Nice job on repotting! Wow that mamma whale fin was potted very deep in the soil! How long did it take for the baby to get this size? I understand that whale fin is VERY expensive in the states, how about where you live? Good luck with them!

Mine is about the size of your mama and my baby is a tad bit bigger than yours here and I've been nervous to separate them. Did they do well after repotting them?

My whale fin snake plants I ordered came in and the bigger ones were cracked. Still in tact but had cracks going down the fin. Will it heal itself? Or will the cracks remain forever ? Stressed isn’t even the word!

Hi Ruth! Im so sorry for this accident, but the cracks will remain :/ they will heal the edges, but will stay. Hopefully soon new babys will pop out and the cracks will be just a part of the story 💚
