Lesson 2: How to Interpret Cards (without knowing their meanings) | Part 1
Hello and welcome!
Today’s video is Lesson #2 in our series, “How to Read Tarot Cards | Tarot 101”.
In this lesson, we’ll go over the most basic ways to interpret tarot cards for your readings including using visual information such as titles, colors, figures, and details. This lesson will teach you how to interpret tarot cards even without any knowledge of their meanings (that’s a separate, future video ^_^).
My name is Christina and I am an intuitive tarot reader. I post mainly Pick a Card Readings here on my channel. This series will cover everything that I’ve learned as a tarot reader through a few different books and websites (listed below), but mostly through my own practice and experience.

I made the mistake of trying to learn the actual meanings when I first started butbi am getting there with more intuitive reading. While this is a little back to basics for where I am, I trust you and your readings so I'm loving the beginner feeling again and going theought the stages along with you. I don't have the original but I'm using my Witch's Tarot deck which has the most detailed imagery of the decks I have. Well, except one but that deck is too distracting 😉 and not for younger viewers so I won't mention it's name 🤔😂

İ have puld the Devil card at the exact same time when you got it!😂 And this card was then surrounded with the cards that have angels on them! And I read this as “my guardian angels are protecting me from devil’s temptation powers”. I didn’t have a porpoise to do that. It was only my intuition 😊. I had a dream the night before that my angels are protecting me from the darkness and evil energy… coincidence? Thank you for the lessons! Good lesson on reading the cards. It's a good exercise in intuition to interpret what the images mean for yourself before looking it up. Someone said that after years of tarot, and on their way to creating their own deck now, they wished they had journaled those earlier years about what those images had meant to them when they first started. I shall take you on that advice to do a reading for the two weeks. I haven't put time limits/predictions when it gets to readings. Another experiment to add into practice and journal about.

The Devil is usually involved for sure. But I guess it does depend. Maybe the 8 of pentacles too? It probably depends on the question and what kind of addiction 🤔

It would take a number of people's confirmation before I become convinced that I have something right, and even then, I don't trust it 100%... I tried my current energies and I got 10 of wands, 2 of swords and 8 of cups. First thing I notice was that none of the figures were watching so I guess I’m blind to something, or I’m too focused on carrying that burden that I can’t see anything else

What are you thoughts on giving the cards over to the person your reading to put their energies into the cards before your reading ? Your an amazing teacher btw

Thank you so much 😊. I used to do that, but after a certain point I no longer needed to. I think it will be entirely up to you. Try it and if you like it, keep going! Though, you may not always get to have them do it, if the reading is over the phone for example. Good luck!

What would you do if you pulled say 3 of cups with a negative, such as death or the devil?

This would depend on the question for sure. In a different video I will explain possible combinations and how to interpret them. But to answer your question, I might say that the 3 of cups could represent a relationship/friendship, and the death card could signify an ending while the Devil is a negative energy. It's like an equation: Friendship (3 of cups) + Ending (Death) + Negative (Devil) = The ending of a friendship due to negative energy. But that's just one possible interpretation 😊

@@FireflyTarot yes I thought of that ( just beginning less than a year). When I ask about someone I love in a 3rd part relationship and I pull the sun for example I cringe. But then it's followed by the 5 of cups and give a sigh of relief...maybe all is well not for long? Or something like this
