Paul is such an accomplished versatile guitarist. L6 picked the right guy to sell their product.

This is an AMAZING demo of this product. HOLYSHIT. I'm blown away. I'll be getting the Firehawk FX for sure. Amazing playing and studio work. Sounds incredible.

Why do we never have a metal guitar player doing the main demo? Through all these years, all the floor effect units have upped their game and made amazing tones for Rock,Pop,Jazz,Blues,etc.With, great clean crunch and lead tones. However, not even a single floor unit out there have had a metal rhythm guitar tone that'd sound bone crushing, in your face, well detailed with a lot of character and depth. Also, what is the matter with just having a 4 band post eq that too with fixed frequencies? :/ How about a full blown parametric EQ like Fabfilter Pro Q, that has an analyzer, at least 6 bands, independent choice of frequency and EQ type (bell, shelf notch)

Hi! How close does the Firehawk behave to a tube amp it's emulating when, let's say, rolling back the volume knob on a non-variax guitar?

Hi, I downloaded the app to see how it works, and I see a slot that can be used by overdrives or compressors. Does it means that either overdrive or compressor can be used? Not both? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Nice composition, however--could you go into more depth of how you kept the volume level consistent throughout the piece when changing tones? I love my Firehawk, but to say this is one, if not the biggest bug with the unit, would be an understatement.
@dustinbrooks43976 жыл бұрын
going to have to play around with your guitar volume/overall volume, and then the volume of the amp/cab. just went through this as the other day was my first time with the firehawk and my band. took me a whole practice to get my volumes easily adjusted
@cerclesvicieux6 жыл бұрын
There are too many ways to adjust the volume: the amp/cab of the processor, the volume pedal of the processor, the master volume of the processor, the amp/cab of which I actually play through, and yes--the guitar volume itself. It's insanity. They have made it more difficuolt than it needs to be. I think the processor lends itself better to recording than live, now you have to take into acount the accoustics of the room. Nevertheless, I have used the "use banks" where I have at least four tone/effects of similar volume, one bank clean, one bank dirty and the third bank of modulating tones. At least I don't kill the neighbors cat when I swith tones. @@dustinbrooks4397

Hello, I' m a left handed and I use the left foot to control the volume pedal. Can I plug an expression pedal " line 6 EX 1 " to pedal 2, and use this pedal in all the patches as volume, and the pedal who comes with the Firehawk as a wah wah? And I turn it on or off when I press it. Thank you very much Carlos Pontes

i cant decide yet----- between FIREHAWK or HD500X ....can you help me?

Why don't any of these demos/reviews mention the massive preset switching latency problem? It makes these otherwise decent units next to useless for live use. I'm guessing Helix doesn't have this problem, eh Line 6. Oh, and don't forget the other bugs that still haven't been fixed.

I don’t think that I am getting everything I can out of the line 6 because I’m still using a crappy 50$ epiphone amp.

is it good for direct to PA ??? is the sound tinny ???
@ethansena7 жыл бұрын
This comment is super late, but the Firehawk FX is great for use through a PA. After owning one for roughly 2 years, I found that it provides a clear tone through a PA/FRFR setup. Of course, you have to rely on house monitoring if you don't monitor yourself. For this reason, I will occasionally run the Firehawk through a BOSS Katana on its acoustic channel (to get the flattest response) using the 1/4" outs when I want some sort of backline monitoring for louder gigs. At the same time, I will run the xlr outs to the PA so the sound guy still has control. But for the most part, the Firehawk is the only unit I carry with me as it encompasses my whole tone (amps, effects). All units have their drawbacks, but the makes it easy to find a usable tone without much tweaking. The goal is to move on to a Helix or another unit of the same caliber but the Firehawk does its job just fine as of right now.

All this tech and you don't even have midi for amp channel switching? Really? Dammit......
