I was a senior in HS in 1992 when grunge took over and it literally killed it...for awhile. But it came back although it came back very differently than before. Nothing is like this stuff anymore. This music was over the top, fun, flirty, sexy, and full of life. I am now 38 and I still love hair bands because it was when MTV was still MTV and music meant something great! Some of the best times of my life are brought back by this very music! :)

Its a shame, i feel Firehouse wouldve been huge if their first two albums came out like 5 years earlier. Instead they were just kinda a blip in the timeline and most people don't even know them.

Back when songs actually meant something with power ballads & then they would knock your teeth down your throat with the heavier pounding ones as well..the guitars were unbelievable sounding which you don't get now n days. Miss the 80's guitars...man..pure awesomeness...

Firehouse, an 80s rock styled band that enjoyed surprising success in the early 1990s, right in the middle of the grunge revolution. The group scored a trio of hits with Love of a Lifetime (1990), When I Look Into Your Eyes (1992), and I Live My Life for You (1995), and also had other popular songs such as Don't Treat Me Bad (the song featured in this video). Firehouse has since lost much of their North American popularity from their 1990s heyday, but are still beloved today in Asian countries such as the Philippines.

My first rock concert was when I was 17. Fire House opened for Slaughter at the zoo amphitheater in Oklahoma city. I fell in a hole in the ground but stayed for the whole concert cause this random hot chick wanted to haing out. I did have to go to the hospital after the concert to get 14 stitches in my head and arm. 1990. Great times and great bands!!

Dear God who art in heaven hallow be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

You're trippin if you think there isn't still awesome, amazing sounding, even superior guitarists these days. Get out of your 80s bubble and put down the coke mirror. That being said, Firehouse is super rad, but you're lying to yourself. Dig deeper, the mainstream knows nothing.

Note the year; 1991-- Grundge was just about to become the flavour of the month for big label record companies; and they would turn their backs on HAIR-METAL bands who had pretty much made them billions in revenue for 10yrs; for a 2yr fad...... MTV would follow by not playing any more vids-signaling the death of thhe freshest and coolest genre in Rock history. Back then I said F them! I never bought in to grundge; and to this day my car is full of Hair Metal CDs--and always will be.

@rock100pre grundge is awesome, did you ever hear some songs from alice in chains ? check out ther song would. Pearl Jam's first album is awesome too.. grundge ist just like rock/Hard rock but more in a depressing and slower way. i love Classic Rock, Hard Rock, NWOBHM, Heavy Metal, Speed Metal, Power Metal and grundge.. whats the matter. dont be ignorrant.
@MrFrankFurter5 жыл бұрын
Grundge ruined everything about rock. Punk was before Grundge, but Rock recovered from the punk era. I use to be heavily into Soundgarden and stopped listening to them when i realised they made me feel depressed, music is too negative. Look at what haooened to Chris Cornell.
@MasterGodfather9712 жыл бұрын
Basically grunge was really big in the 90s and crushed the hair metal scene. So, most hair metal fans aren't really too fond of grunge because of what it did...

@shayh.35563 жыл бұрын
Well Bill’s guitar, the Yamaha Pacifica, is actually a pretty good guitar and a competitor of the Fender Stratocaster. Yamaha actually makes good music equipment, but then again they could have been sponsored lol
@angels7710013 жыл бұрын
@LOKISlog7 Yeah Lokislog. But look at it this way. Grundge did the metal world a favour. They killed off all the shit bands. And the plastics like 'Babylon A.D' who brought out one decent album and then jumped on the grundge bandwagon died with them. Meanwhile the real metal bands went underground again and continued to flourish once more without needing MTV and commercialism. Metal had always been an underground movement, yet continues to outsale any other genre.

@gruenerApfel66612 жыл бұрын
@kochanizer18 grundge is a part of the real hard rock and Metal Universe, Just like Hair Metal. go and bash alternative rock or New Metal or those shitty Core Metal genres, but not grundge. im pretty shure you don't have ever hear to some great grundge albums, and i don't mean nirvana.
